Lendkey, my student loan holder is missing a $1000 payment. And is absolutely no help trying to find it. And I'm trying to get a payoff quote. :crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

The suspension set-up doesn't matter much to me. I'm not that hardcore into it all. If I can wheel, I'll figure out how to drive it over stuff. Or not.

I have a daily! I'm perfectly happy with commuting the Silverado. It rides nice, goes nice, reliable, sounds nice, good stereo. And roomy.

Suppose it doesn't really matter right now. I probably won't pull the trigger on anything until Spring-ish.

That’s a couple weeks away! You can start ordering parts now so they will arrive when you pickup your new vehicle!

Spring is tomorrow, with the temps for the day.

I’ll shut up now and finish pressure washing the heep from last weekend.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
If you gonna go back into a yota, considering trying out the land cruiser platform seriously. I love all my Toyota’s for their specific purposes. But if I were to choose one, it would be my v8 LC.

As mentioned above, the LX makes for a great DD and wheeler.

These are my close buddies down in GA. Couple my friends started up an LC shop awhile ago and never looked back.
Check them out for ideas, similar interests and come wheel with us on our outings!!!

It's what I've been looking at since the accident. I've found a few that fit the bill. Seem to be more LXs floating around than Cruisers (I may have said GX a few posts up. I confuse them like crazy). Sucks to really have to start this crap all over again.

I feel ya man, been there. Both GX and LX are great platforms. When I refer to LCs, they are grouped in as they are the same minus a few small things…definitely cheaper if you buy used.
This go around, treat yourself to exactly what you want. Remember less is more…and then you have to regear :)

and a fall pic for inspiration.

I know how you feel. Car buying sucks in general, even worse when you least expect it. That sucks the big one. That said, That is how I ended up in the jeep years ago. I knew I was buying new and kept getting jerked around by the dealer on a truck. Saw the jeep and told him to wrap it up now or I’m outta here. Yeah, it was a spur of the moment but but it is, what it was. But over all been happy with it though. Not trying to sway you at all. Everyone is different.

Fast forward years later, and the Tacoma is the daily, use all be all. I just haven’t had the feel goods about modding it. Don’t get me wrong… there are nice builds out there. I just haven’t been interested….. yet.
