I also believe he's trying to bring Dodge back into NASCAR (SHR). Being that he has that relationship with NHRA and Leah's team.

Let's plaster these Chinese made tractors all over this Ford and rep NASCAR so everyone knows how American they are! That's like Kia sponsoring a Nascar.

 

I've heard that rumor as well. Likely not until 2023 or 2024 at least. Or probably whenever they switch to whatever new powertrain they move to so Dodge doesn't waste money on R&D for a deceased engine.

 

And Chinese. I mean most of our shit is made overseas so I am just letting my years sitting on a John Deere get to me.

 

You would think with them throwing Hellcat engines in everything they would have gotten back into it years ago. You are probably right though.

 

Ford and Mahindra have been on and off with joint ventures together.

 

You would think. Although it's kind of awkward when the factory engine makes more HP than the NASCAR car.

 

I mean anyone willing to spend money advertising on these things we should be happy with I suppose. That makes sense though. I can't figure out how these companies can throw the amount at these cars they do now but without them it would all be dead I guess.

I mean, to be fair the NASCAR engines are capable of 900 HP but then they add the tapered spacers. Nevertheless, point remains the same.

I am just hoping it does not take HMS a decade to get a handle on the new car.

 

Oh I know. I suspect by 2025 NASCAR engines will have 6 cylinders max and will be turbo or something. We will be lucky if they are not all electric.

 

Probably the biggest hurdle for Dodge is finding a large team to make the switch. It would have to be SHR, Penske, JGR or someone like that. No way HMS ever runs anything other than Chevrolet. RCR, I could see that maybe but RFK would probably be the best fit but they have a long long history with the blue oval.

 

I'm not excited about it either. The new placement of the numbers is fucking horrible, makes the car look like it's 30ft long. I also believe the actual racing is gonna be worse than it has been in last couple years. TOO MUCH FUCKING DOWN FORCE.

They were allegedly testing several different setups. I saw a restart test too. Busch appeared to spin the tires which made me wonder if they were testing higher HP at that point. The temps were also relatively cold compared to normal racing conditions.
