Dogs are the best thing in this world. Take all my money, and whatever else, just leave me the dogs.

It's massive. Also very tall. I haven't seen the home yet but it better have 9' or 10' ceilings or there's gonna be issues. lol

Put in a 480v 3 phase motor and let them know they have to buy some fancy phase converters which will need to be stored in an out-building.

It won't get that far. I was just on the manufactures site looking at the install specs. This thing needs 5 1/2" for the track. A normal pocket door is 2 1/4". So it won't work at all on an 8' ceiling. It will work with major framing modification with a 9' ceiling. It will work easily with a 10' ceiling. This is gonna be fun. Plus, it's gonna be snowing all day Monday and snowing HARD on Tues. I might just take a 4 day weekend. lol

Triple time for weather inconvenience, and also they'll need a diesel generator to run the phase converter now in case of a power outage. Can't have the the family not having access to their dining room they'll use twice a year.

Redundancy is expensive, but absolutely necessary.

It's not gonna stick. The track and wheel system is MASSIVE on this thing. 800lb rating. A normal pocket door has a 200lb rating. The track hangs off the header with sammy hangers connected to 3/8" all-thread. You use the all thread to dial it in perfectly level. It's a really cool system actually.

I leave my house the same time every day. If I get there 30 minutes late because of weather the homeowner gets billed for travel time. Monday is only gonna be about 8" but Tuesday they are talking 11-17". The home is up on Juniper which is one of the highest areas in Mammoth. I expect a lot more snow then 17" at that altitude. This 4 day weekend idea is sounding better and better. lol

Good thing you got 37" tires on the wheeling rig, eh?

If there's 2" of snow and a traffic accident on the way to wherever I need to be I just call it for the day. Not worth the risk to deal with the general public.

I also have no idea how to build pocket doors, so it's probably for the best.

I don't know if you've ever heard about this, but jeeps have solid front axles. They seem to hold up a bit better than IFS fronts, and if they do break, you're not welding around upper control arms.

Just something to consider for the future ;)

I'll might just SAS this one. DANA 60 front, Ford 9 rear. Or I can just cut off the old coil bucket and weld a new one in. Or I can call my insurance and have them total it. Those are my options. lol

It was strong enough to break the coil bucket before the spindle gussets failed so I'm gonna say it's fine. lol

Or...and hear me out...Get a Jeep gladiator with a 44 rear and 44 front from the factory (and yah, i'll admit the front 44 is basically a 30 spline D30, but it holds up well enough for 35s)
