From reviews I read it sounds good, but gets droney on the highway above 60. I am curious to hear the opinion too, as it is one of the most affordable ones

1270! holly mother of geezuz! Yea, I’m sure you could do an entire double cab taco for around $200. The kilmats come I. 80 and 50 thicknesses. And neither is over $70 for 36 sqft. Plus it precut into easy to manipulate tiles.

personally, as a LEO, I’m less likely to pull a car if it’s well lit. Food for thought, if we can run a plate from a moving 2-3 car lengths rather than having to stop the car to see the plate, we’ll probably leave you alone, trust me, most of us would rather not make the stop. That is as long as the plates come back clean! If they are, you’re good to go; if not, well, it doesn’t matter how good or bad it’s lit, we’ll light it up for you in blue and red. Hehe

Yeah, I did the entire trunk top to bottom, the entire interior of the car top to bottom and the front firewall and all the other stuff mentioned. It was a pricey pursuit, but in an old performance car it was important to keep that sound and heat down to be able to hear the stereo and make it more enjoyable in the car. I think dynamat is the most expensive material but got really good reviews.

Honestly, its hard to say if it made a big difference but I assume it did. It's been so long since it was stripped bare I dont even remember what it sounded like before the sound deadening. It would be fun to ride in one without it to just hear the difference. Riding in the tacoma stock is still quieter lol

“As a LEO” I had to read this twice, was thinking, what the hell does his horoscope sign have to do pulling a car over? Pretty damn valid point! Maybe a combination of the two, LED bulbs and $7 anti glare mod would give the best solution

haha, at least you figured it out. And yes, less glare is good. That is PC for us to stop a car.

As a dispatcher, my guys always say tag lights will get ya EVERYTIME.

So as I always tell my friends, make sure all your headlights, tag lights, and plates are up to date, and my guys will usually leave ya be. And if you get pulled over, you gave them enough reason to.

    Well explained  thank you.

I’m happy with my Bright Morimoto Tag Lights especially since we’ve been having Heavy Fog (0 visibility @5:45AM) here at the coast every morning for the past two weeks.
Our local Sheriff’s are strict, especially on the beach routes we’re they come up behind you to see if your doing the speed limit.

i run very bright leds in my tag lights. I also just ordered the anti glare mod too. Fine line between well lit, good looks and unnecessary.

    I like TITS.
But I don't like cold TITS.
MN is too damn cold. After 25 yrs there I bailed.
Now in CO I can still enjoy TITS but they warm right up the next day.

In Tx LED tag lights are PC as per state law are illegal. (No white lights to the rear).

I would think that would be true if they were rear facing, but what about this?
“The Transportation Code states in section 547.322 that the rear license plate must be illuminated by a white light that “makes the plate clearly legible at a distance of 50 feet from the rear.” Even with a working light, if a police officer cannot see your license plate “clearly” from 50 feet away you are still in violation of the statute, and potentially at risk of being pulled over.”

whaaa? Aren’t incandescent lights considered “white?” So, Texas just means no rear facing white while moving forward? It’s the same here, but the tag lights have a diff vehicle code that states they just can’t be aimed directly back, like reverse lights.

In Cali white is pretty much 4000k-5500k. So as long as you don’t enter the yellow or blue spectrum you’re good here.
