@Wulf @0xDEADBEEF and people who spend a lot of time on video conference calls. Recently I've noticed meeting participants with these POD cast microphones and headsets. The microphones definitely increase voice bass. Some sound like Darth Vader. Are you seeing this become more popular?

Not in my corner of the world.

I have an antlion modmic that sounds really good, but it requires external hardware to get sidetone. It’s my backup and I use it if I make a voiceovers.

For every day use I use a plantronics voyager focus , it’s wireless, pairs with my phone at the same time, and has stupid good range - I can walk all over the house. It also has a teams compatible mute button so I can mute when I’m vacuuming on a call or cussing.

Amateurs don't use any form of high pass or low pass filter or even just some equalization when they get a quality mic and that's the result. Overly bassy voice from local resonance and reflection.

Flatbed drove 4 hours this morning. Got to my destination and cut the engine. Wouldn’t start about 10 mins later after unloading my gear. Fuel fill ups aren’t possible currently unless I leave it running so good thing the 04 will be back soon.

I think someone has truly become fluent in a language when they can make jokes that land in it. Turn of phrase, idioms, and expressions are all linguistically challenging since they don't follow the language norms or require prioir knowledge and understanding.

Have you disconnected your EVAP line? I bet the solenoid is stuck open and flooding the engine with vapor from fueling. Does it start with your foot wide open on the throttle?

Haven’t ever messed with the evap systems in the engine bay. Only really know the routing on my 04 with the can by the fuel tank. I’ll look into that.

Won’t start with my foot to the floor. Also disconnected the battery for a few mins for shits and giggles. Igniter was swapped with a known good one but honestly don’t know why a bad igniter would be the cause since it runs fine.

Truck started fine now since it sat long enough. I’ll have to test later.

I do the same thing with the plastic bin. Don’t want that stuff in the cab with me.
