RSI Smart Cap

Got about 12" over the last week and it dipped down to -5, I could really use something like these so when either you or @r4nsom get something going!

 

@OffroadAlliance.com @Mike's Custom Toys Have either of you heard if RSI will be finishing the new latches in January still? I signed up for the warranty sheet that was posted about previously.

 

Like most things, demand is outpacing supply. Best estimate is February if you're already on the list.

 

Does one get on the list by contacting a dealer, or harassing RSI?

 

You need to submit a warranty claim and request to be added. These will only be available through RSI directly for the time being.

As an alternative dealer's up north have been using these rubber covers
They are $10 each plus shipping.

How long is your shipping times for the RSI Sports? have gotten a few quotes for smart cap / leer, and dont want to wait for months. it says you have 5 in stock on your website ready to ship

 

What are those called or where can I get some? Sorry "rubber covers" is pretty broad for a google search.

 

Typically ship out within ~2 business days. Transit times vary based on where you're at. But most arrive with 2-7 business days, location dependent.

are these necessary? My cap is on already and definitely would prefer not popping it off again-.-

iirc the directions had this step after putting it on the truck? Which makes no sense..

 

The cap doesn’t need to be removed to place these, loosen a clamp, slide in the rubber block and tighten that clamp down on it and move to the next.

 

I slid mine in place after the cap was seated. You'd have to loosen the bolts, but no need to remove the cap. I also didn't use the adhesive.

 

We sell them. I have a batch coming in next week.

I have a new Smartcap toolbox I am looking to sell. It is for a 5' bed. Ordered it back in August and we have since purchased a new work truck so I won't be needing to lug tools around. I'm in New Paltz, NY.
