Just wanted to add some info on here since it's been bumped.

I wanted to make this swap as painless as possible. So instead of drilling the banjo blot, use a Tundra break line. It threads right into the Tundra caliper with zero issues. I had to get extended brake lines for my application but if you're stock, just buy a stock Tundra brake line.

    Good to know !
I ordered some wheels 16x8 0 offset with 4.5 back spacing pro comp 7032-6883. They seem to fit 2nd gen and 3rd gen tacoma.
My Taco has the 199mm tundra brake calipers. So I was a bit worried about the fit. Will find out today since the wheels are here.

You should be ok because there are 1st gen Sequoia and 3rd gen 4runner wheels that fit those calipers but won’t fit on wheels with 231mm calipers or 2nd / 3rd gens.

When I did my tundra brakes I used wheelers steel braided brake lines and they fit no problem, no drilling no hassle, bolted on.

Yeah the 3rd gen 4runner hard lines and 1st gen Tundra hard lines bolt right up to 1st gen spindles. The other option is bypassing any c-clip soft lines altogether and run a stainless soft line all the way from the frame junction that has inverted flare fittings on both ends from hydraulic hose shops like G and J Aircraft in Ontario.

Some people get lucky but the thing is a banjo bolt won’t work with replacement calipers you might have to get in a pinch if one gets seized and you need to get one from a parts store. Remanned calipers don’t necessarily have the machined surface as the Tundra didn’t have a banjo bolt and they don’t have to use a machined surface to supply stores with acceptable parts for the vehicle.
