i don't have this unit yet, but it's the one that i plan on installing... i went down to the local electronics store and played with it, the menu system seems to be a little basic (icons are not highly detailed) compared to others but i found this unit on newegg for $350 and i am a fan of the pioneer units. i haven't actually heard it play anything yet, so i don't have any other feedback for you, but i will say i've very excited about the dvix playback [IMG]

Thanks for the feedback. I just bought the Pioneer AvicF700Bt from Crutchfield for $439. Should get it tomorrow. I wasnt planning on getting the nav, but this was too good of a deal. One guy on here said he bought the 4000 and had trouble with the install and that is didnt fit well. He returned it. Hope you have better luck!

Delrivpilot - Please post a review of the F700BT when you get it installed, pics would also be great if you are able to. I'm considering adding the same unit to my 2009. Thanks!

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
I have this unit installed in my 08. I really like it. It isn't the most advanced DVD player on the market, but it sounds very good to me and the picture is pretty dang good too. You do not need a seperate DVD player to watch movies on it. It also has a very wide array of inputs for it (you can hook up an external video source) as well as USB, iPod, and mini jack on the front.

The menus are pretty simple and straight forward, and over all it was a piece of cake to install. The fit is great, had no issues with any dimension.

I just installed this unit in my 07 Taco, and it is awesome. You can see the pics in my gallery.

I also installed the 30Amp, 12 Volt, Single Pull Double Throw Relay so that the DVD player works even when the vehicle is in motion. With the relay it is all automatic...No need to install a toggle switch.
