Rear axle breather mod question

I want to relocate my rear axle breather and I came across this website and it seems like a cool idea. But I was wondering that since the tail light is semi sealed would that cause an issue with the breather? I have a 2022 which does not have the access panel in the bed for the gas filler otherwise I would just run it there. Any thoughts?

Check behind the light. 2nd gen but not sealed. The breather goes behind the light assembly.

First, Instead of the breather cap on tube I used a clear small engine in-line gas filter. I ran mine over the frame up to the gas filler tube used a few Zip ties making sure the open end of the filter faces downward to keep out water. It is high and dry there, also it gets no winter tire spray as does the back of the truck location.

 

This spot has worked well. Easy access and keeps it clean.
