Nobody seems to take filters anymore

 

I know, it's kinda weird, I just let em drain for a day or.two and yard em into the trash in a big ziplock

 

Exactly. Between my two and the gf’s, a year is a long time

 

Yeah I just toss them in a 5 gallon bucket.

I was working at a scrap recycling yard once and watched as the workers would go and dump out piles of shredded steel and then manually pick through them. Asked and they were looking for oil filters , apparently the paper elements collect water and make a mess when they get tossed into a melting pot.

 

I have some old railroad crossties around a bush bed. I use the filter drain off to rejuvenate the old crossties creosote and tar coating.

Saves energy that would have been spent on edging or roundup.

 

I've been trying to reach @cruiserguy via email. I just can't reach him. I hope he is ok.

I have some 4Runner seats and a console in the garage that I've been holding for him. I just realized that it has already been a couple of years.

 

I never really thought to check if dropping off filters was ok, I always just put them in the bag when I drop the oil off. Our place you just drop it outside the garage then go in and sign a sheet. They don't really oversee it much

Nice. Is that a sport? Hard to tell in that picture. Also, any more deets on the wheels/tires and suspension? I've been toying with mine and am trying to decide what size to get for the next wheels/tires.

He disappeared over a year ago, I remember he sold his LC and was talking about moving to TX to get a change of scenery and try some new stuff out. Hes a good dude, hope he's doing well

Some 35s on F5s with 1.5" spacers.. Maybe someday. I see he has an Asfir skid plate. Nitto Mud Grapplers. The poke would let me run some of the trails that cause a lot of body damage.

Not sport but has OEM sport headlights. I swapped the stock air suspension for Dobinsons IMS. They ride as nice as OEM or better but my old suspension was worn out. Rims are SCS Stealth 6 17x8.5mm -10mm. Tires are 265/70R17.
