Could be a short or a bad ground somewhere

At 142K miles, I don't see how it could be anything but the alternator; A bad ground is not going to cause that many systems to fail...

Until you gather data you can’t definitively say. Plus it’s a lot faster.

A possible bad ground or loose wire crosses my mind too, especially since you had the frame swap. Hoping it is something simple like the alternator or battery though. Definitely ask for a meter for Christmas, got one for the ex gf's son cause l am tired of him always borrowing mine for extended periods of time.

I thought you took it to AutoZone to get the alt tested? Call them, they may loan out a tester.
At that mileage, if replacing the alt, minus well replace the serpentine belt and check the idler pulleys very carefully, or just replace them while you are at it. 4 cyl? Looks like your alt has a decoupler pulley. Those tend to seize and burn out the alt. That happened to our Lexus ES350 at about the same mileage. The decouple should be replaced at 100K. They are about $40-$90, plus you need the tool adapter.

Did you read the above posts? 99.9% sure that it is the alternator; I have a "new" remanufactured" one ready to go!

The belt was replaced in like October, right before the frame was replaced; Will have to check on the pulleys...

You just had a frame replacement so who knows. I have a friend who had his frame replaced a couple of years ago. He says it seems like his rig as never been the same. Just nickle and dime shit ever since. A loose something here, a creaking thing there, CELs every few months. He said he always finding a wire pitched somewhere or a bolt not tight or even missing

I was thinking the same thing about OP having the frame replaced recently.

And the dealer wanted over $500 just for an alternator; I don't even want to think about what they'd charge to install one! I got one for $280 at AutoZone and I'm gonna get $60 back for returning the old one in the box; I know dealers always overcharge and we seeing record inflation, but this time I legitimately they're :rasta:

You're not thinking it's time for a new truck, are you? I can't afford a new truck. My truck has actually been really good since the frame replacement, and at 142K I'm thinking it was just time for the alternator to go...

After I bought the new alternator, I was in a rush to get the truck home because systems were starting to shut down; The HVAC wasn't working, the radio wasn't working (which means the Bluetooth wasn't working either), the ABS and traction control lights were, and on the way to buy the alternator it actually felt like the truck lost power under acceleration at one point.

I noticed that my friend had texted me wanting to hang out, and I realized that his more-mechanically-inclined-than me dad could possibly help me put the alternator in; I called him as I was leaving the parking lot, and a woman in a blue SUV happened to be turning into the parking of the adjacent restaurant as I was leaving...

She is what is known in North America as a "Karen"!

The property where the AutoZone is located shares it's rear exit onto Kansas Road with the Chickie's and Pete's restaurant next door (seen in the upper part of the screenshot); The red line shows the path I took when leaving the AutoZone to ultimately head home...

Again, the red line shows the path I was taking to leave the AutoZone and go home; The first blue line represents the lady coming into the restaurant parking lot, the blue X represents where stopped to bitch at me for being on my phone while driving (For the record, it is not illegal to be talking on a cell phone while driving in Pennsylvania, and my Bluetooth wasn't working since the radio had shut down due to the alternator giving out), and the second blue line shows the path she took after our less-than-friendly exchange of words...

I do not know which way the woman was coming from on Kansas Road, but I think it was the path illustrated by the blue line below. An accident did not almost occur, and I probably should've stopped for a bit longer, but I was in a rush to get my truck home before it died altogether and a reasonable person would have fully understood if they'd let explain myself; I say again that, (A) my truck was having electrical problems that could cause it to totally die and I needed to get it home, (B) my Bluetooth was not functioning because the radio had shut off due to the the aforementioned electric problems, and (C) I was making a call to my friend's dad could potentially help me address those electrical problems...

But no, this Karen had to shout "Get off your phone!" out of her her open window, and I was already understandably not in good mood, so her unwanted commentary set me off in a way that it normally would not have in the presence of a woman especially under those circumstances...

I screamed "Fuck you!" and she responded with "Fuck you harder!" before driving off; This was a middle aged woman, mind you...

After hearing the story, my mom said that people really need to stop using the F-word so casually...

Anyway, it is not against the law to talk on the phone while driving in PA, no accident occurred (nor did it almost occur), and the woman knew absolutely nothing about me or my situation...

Let's see here; I'm a guy with autism who needs to get his truck home because it is literally dying, is a bit preoccupied as a result, and is trying to contact someone who can possibly fix said truck. I say again that using a cell phone without a handsfree device is not illegal in Pennsylvania, and my Bluetooth was not functioning due to the aforementioned electrical problems...

Kindly stick your opinion up your ass and mind your own business, PLEASE!
