I have a ‘21 and I did not renew my services after a year. My key fob still remote starts my truck. Used it for the past 2 months with no issues.

I got the @N2DesignsInc remote start with the cell module as well. Plug and play. Easy install. Great customer service. Get the cell module, it's worth the money. I use it more to make sure I looked my doors at night versus actually remote starting the truck.

So if you've got "premium audio" your fob will remote start for 10 years and then cut you off, and will work for 3 years with "audio plus". So it's got nothing to do with a remote connect subscription, which is very confusing.

WTF is this audio stuff? I don't think they're talking about what speaker package you got, right?

I have a 2021, my trial ended this August and the app on my phone no longer works w/o a subscription but the key fob remote start still works fine. When I was taking delivery of the truck the service guy going over everything told me the same; once your subscription runs out the phone app remote start won't work but the key fob will continue to work forever. If you prefer the app go ahead and get the subscription, if not, just use the key fob for remote start.

Lots on here have said that the key fob doesn't work but they end up finding out they are pressing the buttons in the wrong sequence.

There are many threads about this already and i think some have even said with the new etune update it will make your key fob work even after the app trail is over with the <2020 models. >2020 has the fob remote start.
