Ah, my apologies as I misunderstood. Yes, there is only one 28-pin connector on the vehicle side and it only fits one way as it's keyed so you're good!

That particular Amazon listing doesn't seem to specify the Joying model number so without seeing the back of the head unit, I can't be certain, but that appears to be the same unit I have in my truck (Joying US-JY-TO160N4GS-1.) If that's the case, the ATC/ATO fuse type version of the adapter would work as that's the version of the adapter I'm running in my truck.

 

@WickedAx - I may have missed it, but will your low profile mic adapter work with a Dasaita PX6 HU?

@WickedAx I just started installing the adapter and my Pioneer HU mic input is smaller than (orange mic adapter) 3.5mm. I guess I need another adapter to finish my installation. Which mic adapter do I need? TIA

sorry to bother you again. So I have the same thing on my radio. Would the adapter need a microphone function. Bc going through the details I saw this

 

I just finished my install today. I got an adapter from ACE. Cheaper than AMZN. The adapter only needs one channel and ground. the Tombit OE Mic adapter will work with any of the two 3.5 to 2.5 adapters that he suggested.

 

Note that 3.5mm and 2.5mm jacks can have 1-3 channels. Count the black rings to tell.

1. Mono
2. Stereo
3. Stereo w mic

For Microphone only use you want Mono. For a headset with microphone (e.g. for gaming or zoom) you might use a 3 channel. For the case of car stereo, your speakers are the L and R audio output channels.

 

Thx for clarifying this. I saw this on Amzn and was wondering if it really makes a difference in call quality since the orange 3.5 that we are converting is “TS” (MONO). I got the “TRS” version and it works.

@daveeasa, hope you can tell me if the TRS 3.5 to 2.5 adapter (2 rings) even if it works will be causing the feedback/problems? Is it a must to get the mono adapter? TIA.

 

I would personally stick with mono but it’s possible some of the others work fine.

What I was trying to explain was how the stereo one might be tagged as not supporting a microphone because it’s only 2 channels vs 3 as you would want for headphones with an integrated microphone.

You definitely need the 3.5 to 2.5 adapter to have at least as many channels as what you are adapting needs. As to being able to use a stereo or 3 channel adapter for mono purposes only, I don't know really.

For the price/cost I would certainly attempt to procure one of the ones OP recommended given his vastly superior expertise on these matters.

 

I am currently using a stereo adapter and ordered a mono to try this weekend. I checked all my connections and settings and still having feedback and noise on the other line. Thank you again.
