    Property taxes are different everywhere.

Back in the 1970's or early 80's, California passed a proposition that froze property taxes state-wide to a max of 1.25% of the purchase price of the home for as long as "you" own the property. so if you buy at a fairly low price, and stay there for a long time, you're in great shape. So, our current property, we paid $425K for in February 2019, our property taxes are right around $5K/year.

When I lived on Long Island, and I thought I was going to graduate law school and end up staying there for a good long time, my ex and I got with a local realtor and did some preliminary looking around. The realtor explained to us that in New York, the property taxes are set at the local level, and can vary hugely in a small area, based mostly on the amount of local schools, and also purchase price of the property. We were renting in Stony Brook at the time, and he told us that there were houses in that area with properly taxes over $60K/year.......:bananadead: Further towards the eastern end of Long Island, where it is very rural, property taxes were generally less than $8K/year on average.

You got that right. This area is a cess pool, but it's my cess pool. I'd absolutely love to have a camper/tiny house...anything, in Southern Illinois tho; it would be nice to spend a few nights a year over there and not drive back and forth as often.

Well that sucks about the glass. Maybe clean it first and then try or try again with it moist? Worked for me :(

You need to just use straight white vinegar.

I'll try this route before I try the grinder.;)

For what it's worth I had tried that with no luck on our windows. It probably doesn't help that they amongst everything else had been pretty neglected for many years but I was ready to take razor blades to everything.

I should also mention to @StayinStock that white vinegar will not be an immediate wipe off. The mild acid in vinegar will probably take a bit to eat the hard water deposits off. Probably 10 minutes or more.

Piss is an effective water spot removal agent. It has to be used right from the tube so get out there and piss all over your windows.

Its kinda cold outside, there possibly could be some tube shrinkage. Shouldn't be a big deal, eh?

    Get it? Big deal?
    Damn I'm funny!!
