Lever above crankshaft sprocket inside timing chain area

What is this (static?) lever(-like) component right above the crankshaft sprocket inside the timing chain area?

 

I believe that's an oil jet to lubricate the timing chain but I could be wrong.

 

So it just guides the oil to drip over the chain at the sprocket? Pretty clever actually.

 

Definitely an oil nozzle. Pressurized oil squirts out and lubes the timing chain and various components associated.

 

I dunno about "squirts out", it looks like a solid stick and not a straw/tube. I will double check but it's hard cause it points downwards

I'm looking to add this jet to my 2GR-FKS, though it has no boss in that location. It's the best spot to spray fresh cool lube into the chain.. the inside radius just prior to the sprocket that drives the whole chain system, it has the highest load. The tensioner guide is just after it, too.

If time allows, I'll try show how much lube it moves.
