Some how that missing clip will find it`s way onto the seat.

Even though all the laws of physics as we understand now says that is impossible

That is when you will find it

New poll, I don't have anything in my eye at the moment but have had 14 pieces (I think, I've lost count) cut out of them over the years, most of them in my left eye for some reason. The vision in it is worse than my right, I'm assuming all the cutting has had something to do with it.

Some of the metal that has been in them was from not wearing safety glasses (grinding), some of it got in while wearing safety glasses.

I remember one piece many years ago, I woke up one Friday morning and light killed it. I drove to work with one eye, went to the eye doctor, they cut it out and put a patch on it cause it was so bad. They ask if I had anybody to drive me home, I said yeah they are in the truck. I drove back to work and finished the day. The next day we were burning a house at the volunteer FD, I went and told them I could do any firefighting so they put me in the tanker driving it with one eye o_O

Speaking of eyes, my brother had to have emergency surgery for a detached retina 3 or 4 weeks ago, he had to have it again Friday because he didn't listen to the doctors and it came unattached again. You only get one set, protect them eyes!!!

Most times that happens around coworkers shooting projectiles in your direction.

I have been lucky most times having no one close.

I have had small pieces I could remove myself.

The worse thing I had was a eye infection from someone using my hood and me not being told missed a week of work

I had a piece of grit in my eye from riding the rear step on my FIL's trash truck. The eye doctor ended up getting it out with a magnet. 0/10 would not try again.

I had a gnat fly into my eye and attach itself to the white of my eye, had an eye appt months later, doctor said you've got a gnat in there and the layers of eye have grown over it. He numbed one eye and cut it out. Talk about feelin loopy o_O.

Worst I've had in my eyes is eyelashes, something on my contacts or gnats from a bike ride.

Having to have something extracted sounds horrible.

    :amen:

My old partner from work had a pistol blow up from a factory overcharged ammo. He took a piece of metal into his left eye that bounced off the retina. He has a black spot in his vision at about 11 o’clock high to this day.

Every time I've had an MRI done I have to get my eyes xrayed before to make sure there's no metal in them and the magnet don't suck it out

It doesn't get any easier, them coming at you with a cutter on a dremel saying "don't move your eye or blink" isn't fun at all

The last one I had cut out the doctor used some sort of curved scalpel, no thanks on that again!!!

I was just glad to get in the office, I called the place I had been going to for years and told them I woke up with metal in my eye and it was hurting. They said "first appointment we have is 2 days" I hung up. My wife contacted a friend of ours we go to church with and she said come on they would work me in. I was out in less than an hour.

One other time I went in to the old office and was waiting. A lady came in and sat down next to me and after about 20 minutes she started complaining about waiting, she looked at me and said "have you been waiting long?" I said about 5 minutes before you but I have metal in my eye and don't really have a choice. She didn't say anything else

    Yikes!
Yeah, I don't do well with bright lights in my eyes, or eye drops or anything. The doc had to get a nurse to hold my head and another to hold my eyelids open.

I've never had anything get in my eye that couldn't be washed out with a good stream of saline solution. What Drew said about contact lenses, that made me think that they're kind of another layer of defense. I have had to toss a few out that became uncomfortable to wear...disposable anyway.

Some of the stories about the ER remind me of a time at the dentist. Now I've been clean for quite a long time but when I get the chance to have the gas I enjoy it! Ok, so one time I'm higher than a kite on that stuff, actually enjoying them grinding away in there....an then all of a sudden that little tool seem to get away from him a bit and the assistant got a troubling look about her face and say....oh...
Oh??? Talk about ruin my buzz man!!
