Have you measured the hub center to fender of each corner yet in stock configuration?

If not you should to know where your starting point is.

Thanks for the advice and the photo's. I have some STD. JBA high caster UCA's on the way and will make sure to check it at full droop.

Like I mentioned Wheeler's didn't give me the option so they should both be on 5th setting.
Need to get to 3" in the front since the allpro standard leaf packs should be around 3" in the back.
Wheelers recommended 1/2 on the driver side and 3/8 on the passenger side. Would suck to have to redo it if it's way off.

I measured fender to the ground on both sides to the fender, stock and it was level side to side. The guy at wheeler's said that was because the stock suspension was side specific and the lean comes from the new parts.
    Does that sound right?
Is lean the same on 2nd gens?

I'm not a proponent of having these large of top hat spacers. However since there is a 1/8" difference between them, that should give you 1/4" more height on the DS.

Generally, this should be the result with your top hat spacer recommendations:
A 1/2" spacer will give you 1" in additional height
A 3/8" spacer will provide 3/4" additional height

Thanks for the reply. This is exactly why I'm confused.

So if I follow the recommendation from Wheeler's with both 6112s at the 5th setting (the way they will ship them)I would get?

    2.5" + 1" (1/2" spacer DRV side) minus ~ 0.5" taco lean for =3" driver side
2.5" plus +0.75"(3/8" spacer passenger side) = 3.25" passenger side

Is that the best shot at a 3" lift with the 5th setting on both shocks?

    IMO

I'd say if you get the numbers advertised you should be at 3.25" per side (I've seen more 1/4" difference than 1/2" on DS lean)

However, at 3.25" you might as well get an order in for a spare set of front axles because IMO, those axle boots are not going to last long. Especially the inner boot on each axle..

Plus in the fifth clip position you will not have as much down travel and top out easily when hitting bumps at speed. Will be fine for pavement and smooth gravel roads but any serious rocky stuff you will understand where I'm coming from.

You can measure your down travel. Have the truck on the ground with new suspension. Measure from top hat to the lower shock bolt. Then raise the front corner of the truck until the tire is off the ground, take the same measurement exactly from the same places on the suspension.

    example how to calculate:
15" on ground and now 16" at full droop. You have (1"x2) or 2" of down travel for your front suspension.

Edit... if it was my Taco and they shipped them on the 5th clip, I'd put a 1/8" spacer on the driver side. However everyone has different goals and lift height to some means more than suspension compliance on rough offroad sections and preserving the front axle boots from accelerated wear.

    thanks for the advice!
Did a few quick searches and I cant even find a strut top plate spacer thinner than 1/4"
Also still concerned that if I get 3" lift from the leaf pack that I might have 2" of rake
Wheelers recommends installing a diff drop, thoughts on that?
I could try 3/8" on DRV and 1/4" on passenger side?

front diff spacer would help with the front drive shaft angles somewhat.. could be done at any time after however.

Surprised they are not promoting any driveline remedies for the 3" rear lift. Seems you might experience some vibration in the back that a tapered shim might remedy. Maybe a 3 degree tapered shim..

It becomes real difficult to tell you what to do since every approach one takes has slightly different impacts on each individual truck.

You could always go with what Wheelers tells you and if it shakes, vibrates or doesn't lift the amount as advised, then make changes to get what you want.

Keep in mind how it will ride with what you purchase and if your rear shocks will accommodate that amount of lift without them being the limiter during full rear articulation (not enough extended shock travel).

3/8 and 1/4 would be on option.. just make sure the studs are long enough to accommodate the spacers

Nope. The body length is the same as the Stockers, so I have no real reason to change the bumps. Been flexed out many times since with no issues.

I have been meaning to take a look while fully flexed out, but keep forgetting.

Nope, no CMC on the current setup. No rubbing at all while just driving and lite off-road. I’ve had this lift for several months now so suspension has settled in and no rubbing.

    Question-

Getting ready to install my 6112s and 5160s this weekend.

The 5160 driver side came with a brake line spacer bracket.

can anyone tell me (or better yet, post a picture) of exactly where this part fits?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Jim

No worries. I’ve installed a bunch of those kits so I know I had seen it before.

Hi all. I’ve been researching lifts for a while now, as I’m looking to go 2” up in the front. Decided on 6112’s and 5125’s with Bilstein 650# springs. I haven’t, in the 25 pages I’ve read, seen mentioned at what clip setting I’d get 2” with the Bilstein springs. Is it 3 or 4? Thanks.

No problem. I’m running 600lb coils 6/5 setting. No complaints here
