Need some help wiring my stereo system to my 2007 access cab truck. I got a rear view camera for my truck so I made it upon myself to get a stereo. I got the Pioneer Dmh-w4660nex along with some adapters off of Amazon marketed for my truck.

There’s 4 wires that didn’t have a straight (color to color) connection to the adapter:
-System remote control (Blue w/ white stripe)
    -Parking brake (lime green)
-Reverse gear signal input (purple w/white stripe)
    -Car speed signal input (pink)

There’s 1 wire from the adapter that didn’t find a place in the stereo unit:
    Blue

Just looking to finish wiring up this truck and be done with. Any kind of information of where I tap into, what they’re used for (importance) or any other leads would be greatly appreciated.

    1) blue-white stripe - power antenna to turn on an amp if you have one, otherwise, tape off

    2) lime green - wired to the parking brake sensor wire connected to that pin switch where the parking brake is. ( I think it is a green/yellow striped wire) Use for playing dvd/videos when truck is parked. Some HU's you can simply ground this wire to bypass but not sure about new pioneers.

    3) purple/white stripe needs to hookup to triggered 12V wire that turns your reverse lights on. Remove the drivers kick panel There's 2 harnesses at the bottom. The top harness has a red/white stripe wire that should be the reverse trigger wire(test with test light when shift in reverse). The trigger wire for your backup cam hooks up to this same wire but at the taillight assembly.

    4) pink wire-I guess this is needed for navigation speed accuracy and I believe its the purple/white stripe wire behind the glovebox. Tape off if not needed.

I wouldn't worry about the extra blue wire of an adapter. Try a test light to see if it provides switched 12V but otw, tape off.

For that Metra 70-1761 adapter, on the back of the baggie it should say Blue wire is for power antenna. If you don't have one, doesn't need to be connected. I would pull it out of the plug or cut it off and tape over it as it isn't needed.

All the other colors are specified in the Pioneer installation manual which you can find here if you don't already have the paper copy that came in the box:

I have that stereo. Had to do a few RMAs as the first one I got was defective, but so far 2nd unit has been solid. You're going to like it, I have the EQ set to default "Powerful" for now with stock speakers and it definitely sounds better right away. That being said start saving your money you're gonna want to upgrade speakers next.

The blue wire may be switched power for turning on a sub amp. At least it was on mine and I use it for that purpose. Be really careful with the speed sense wire. There is no one standard wire for this across the years. I tried to connect one for my Pioneer NEX on my 2009 and was never successful. You don't really need it and the wires you need to tap are very delicate and tightly wrapped. So be careful or better yet forget about it.

Good advice. Personally I would forget the parking/ebrake sensor wire if not found in the harness. You can do a "virtual" bypass on this headunit anyways - see video below.

I had a Pioneer 5100 NEX on my '05, and never hooked up either the parking brake, or speed sensor wires. As @wi_taco posted, there is a software bypass for the parking brake lockout, and for the speed sensor wire (at least on my unit) I got a status message when I first powered the unit up, saying it didn't see the speed sensor (for Navi), but never came up again, nor did I have any issues related to it.
