Some asshat did that to me in Richmond so he wasn’t blocking a hydrant. I put the truck in 4 lo and pushed him forward about a foot so he clearly was and left. Hopefully he at least ended up with a ticket, people suck

That kind of crap happens every day here on my street in Boston. Ruthless…

also all these new people that moved here (yuppies) are used to parking in the suburbs where they grew up so I watch them play bumper cars almost daily while trying to parallel park

    Park by Braille.

Looks like they were grumpy there was room between you and the driveway. "room".

It's okay. You get to pick either parking or driving shenanigans in new England. If you are in an area with parking, this kind of stuff is the normal. This was in my way back to work after lunch on Thursday.

In Boston this makes sense where parking is very limited. In front of my building, you can comfortably park 3 larger cars, maybe even 4 smaller cars. But the people with the red car and the white car either can't park, or are just assholes. (Probably both). They park in such a way that you can only park 2 cars there. I decided to park like they do, and I guess they weren't happy.

Next time, you have to pull forward another 18” so they can’t park in front of you without blocking the driveway

Maybe its because I lived two years street parking in Boston but.. there's plenty of room to back up to get out. I don't really see a problem. If theres a bunch of space behind the white SUV, the 4runner couldve been closer to that car then to not try to eat two spots

A coworker sent me a picture of someone parked a Mercedes SUV in front of her driveway so she had to park on the side of the road. It isn't a road that people normally park on the sides of, so there was plenty of room to be anywhere else.

I told her I don't think I'd be able to contain my rage with that one and may not have been able to stop myself from dragging it way further away than necessary - they could enjoy the new tires they'd need after that.

Hah yeah the dogs couldnt handle not having a yard so had to move. Tbf I just recently got the taco, a mazda 3 is easier to tuck. Didn't see a reason for street parking two cars

I do agree with you, there is space there to fit three vehicles there, I think he was just trying to prove a point (it sounds like he lives next to idiots who can't park, which I know, is ironic).

Had a similar thing at Donohue's Bar in Watertown, I used to go every few weeks for work. On street parking meters. I parked my truck with about 4 feet between my rear bumper and a curb cut/crosswalk, last meter on the section. I definitely parked right, I always get out and double check my lines before turning the truck off. Come out several hours later and some compact car is an inch or 1.5 inches tops from my rear bumper, which means totally blocking the curb cut/crosswalk. I couldn't pull forward either but that car was parked properly as I was. Called the police who wrote a ticket and said IDK what to do otherwise. I said easy, have it towed. What if someone comes along in a wheelchair etc. These 2 twenty somethings come along and are all mad about the ticket. I proceeded to put a good dose of fear in them with a rather intense trash can of foul language.

This is why I love having steel bumpers on the truck.... I'm getting out of the spot one way or another, no damage to my truck haha.

Same! I escape with a cringe and a smile. Something about a steel bumper that says " no fux given!" Hell, I wouldn't park next to me, if I'm not carrying tools I've got kids. I'll wreck your shit!

So, I’m probably overdue for an alignment anyway, but should I do one since I’ve had that bushing installed? And thanks again @All TacosFloat

The ECGS? If you've had the whole front suspension apart there is zero downside. Ask for as much caster as you can get out of the suspension. I'm on the low side and I notice my truck loves to wander at higher highway speeds, especially on 128. At 60 MPH and below it's much less noticeable.

If you do, find a good alignment shop. Don't bother w/Firestone, etc.
