Cool. The methods I am referring to are not fake bead locks, but the inner portion of the rim has a ridge in them which help keep them ‘grip’ when Aired down.

I've been debating what I want to do with it now that I'll be traveling full time. I can't decide if I should just make it a backpacking channel, or an overlanding channel...or a combination. A friend just now told me I should do a video of my build. I don't know...I can't decide. I enjoy photography more than video, but I like watching videos of my trips.

It sounds like we'll need to do a trip together!

 

Huh...the website says the 701s have the bead grip, but I don't remember noticing that before. I wonder if that's new? Or maybe I just didn't notice. I can't tell from the photos at the shop if they have that listed on the box. That looks nice, though, so it would be cool if they do have it.

Count me in! I’m actually planning a trip from Baja to Alaska when I get back from deployment. Going to live in the truck along the way.

That camera is awesome, great for limited light! And I will check out your YouTube channel. Mine is going to be a combination of truck camping and backpacking and of course I will have a couple videos of the truck build. At least that’s the plan.

And those tarptents look rad! I’m in the market for a 3 person tent. Something to have when I camp with a female friend and my dog will still have room.

I actually like those small campers that include a built-in shower and all the amenities for like $25-30K...they're about 1500-2000lbs.

Your adventures are quite a step up from what I would do. I sure enjoy documented stories with pics!

The Tarptents are really nice. They are fully enclosed, so you don't get the bugs, but they're lightweight, requiring the use of hiking poles, and that makes them nice.

I don't have a dog, though, so I don't know how well they'd stand up to claws.

 

No glamping pictures on this computer. How about fish?

I also originally ordered a MaxAir Fan, but I changed my mind a few weeks ago, and managed to get that cancelled at the last minute. I just will be spending most of the warm months out west, and it rarely gets very hot where I intend to be.

I think I added the MaxTrax mount and L Track after my initial order, because they don't appear on my original order sheet.

The awning brackets are huge. Since I haven't decided if I want the awning yet, I asked the shop to remove them and plug up the holes. I'll probably wish I had bought the awning pretty quickly...but I'll deal with that when it happens.

I had the L tracks installed because I think I thought that was the only way to mount Rotopax on the side. I have now learned that I have significantly complicated the process of mounting the Rotopax by adding the L tracks, and I should have just let the shop install the Rotopax mounts directly to the camper. They intend to fab something so they can mount the Rotopax to the tracks.

 

Let me know if your interested in a 270 awning I know a place to get a pretty good deal on the Rhino Batwing. AT Overland mounts apparently fit those well according to their website. It’s what I ordered and my topper hasn’t even being the build process yet.

Lol, I stayed in my Offroad trailer in my backyard for a week figured it would be a quick walk inside.
What I realized after that was, I wasn’t using half the shit I packed, so I actually unpacked for my trip.

 

I'm gonna wait out the winter here in the south, try to get the gear dialed in, and then head to southern Utah for two months in March.
