    @Nicklovin

I'd be up for a run.

I am free this Saturday for a day trip! Up to go anywhere with a small group !
2wd long travel stuff appreciated !

Also, put in some requests for time off Halloween weekend -- thinking Ocotillo, JV, or maybe Glamis; 2-3 day camping trip.
& requested Saturday, Nov. 6 off as well- maybe another day trip
Both these are yet to be seen if I get the days off of work.

Ah I wish I could go out this saturday! But we should definitely do a day run soon, maybe out to Slash X or something. Got some dirt bike buddies who would probably join us too :D
How is it out there for halloween? I've seen photos but I'm always busy :anonymous:

The temps are good, I think perfect. Little cool at night, still warm and sunny in the daytime, but you don't melt lol.

Here's a video I never posted from last year. as you can see a little dusty, but not a bad amount of traffic at all. Most amounts of people stay on the graded pole line road or some of the main highway washes.

@Sterling_vH111 wish I would have caught wind sooner. Sounds like a cool event, unfortunately I have plans for the weekend already. Thanks for sharing!

Anyone know any place for a quick run in palm spring? Prefer nearby palm spring international airport area. TIA.

Me and a buddy will be out at Calico exploring Phillips loop Saturday (Nov 27). We will be arriving late morning/early afternoon.
Not sure exactly what time yet but if anyone is interested we will make a more finite plan.

We haven't done this particular trail before but it's rated 4/10 and iv done several other level 4 difficulty trail's in a stock 4x4 TRD off road.

I'd say at minimum you need 4x4 and all terrain tires.

My buddy is in a bone stock FJ cruiser.

    Here is the trail head

And a pic from the last time we went to this area

That sounds like fun, what time are you guys meeting up and where? I'd be coming from North OC.

BTW - does anyone know if the forest roads are closed? I heard they might be closed during red flag days?

We are staying out at Calico lakes. Should be on the trail about 10/11am but timing is flexible.

If you're interested send me PM

Phillips loop was pretty quick. Not too difficult but you will be on the skid plates several times of your stock height.

Anyone interested in a cleghorn/2N17x "pilot Rock" day trip on Monday Jan 3rd?

Ideally would like to go through to Arrowhead but I think there will be too much snow.

Anyone interested in 3n14/ Coxey Road from Apple Valley to Big Bear? I'd like to go AFTER snowfall and not DURING. For those that are not familiar with the trail, it takes me around 2hrs to complete by myself with no stops, 3hrs including stops for lunch or pictures here and there, and 4hrs with stops and passengers that prefer a smooth and calm ride. The trail ends in Fawnskin. From there, you can hang out in Big Bear and then take the highway back home or go through the trail again.

The trail is currently open. You can find other details and updates here https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/sbnf/recreation/ohv/recarea/?recid=74166&actid=94
