And another 200 will branch off about how much they expect to get on their 3rd Gen for trade with 2 Rotopax, RTT, Meso lights, red tow hook, and ceiling full of collectible patches :burp:

I will add - the Big Sur stretch along the central coast and the Redwood forests are must sees if you've never been this far west before. Just don't buy gas in big sur

I rarely shoot in B&W, but I figure in low light, it's the way to go. Here are some shots from inside a Californian mine shaft...

    I have mods
Truth. I rode thru that area a few years back. Gas was expensive but I was on a bike so it was only 5 gallons worth.

Man it has been dumping rain all night and morning here. Not very often we get put on flood watch. Some neighborhoods closer to the mountains are getting evacuated. Burn areas from the 2020 fire make for bad mudslides

Well we're long overdue for a big earthquake anyway

I'd still prefer to live where natural disaster is unpredictable vs where you know it's going to happen every season (ie hurricanes/tornadoes)

Then again it's like nature realized this and gave it to us in the form of fire so

I need to pick your brain about black and white photo processing at some point, it's not something I deal with hardly ever

Caves and mines are really hard to shoot and have them be interesting, I like your take on it!

Tbh neither do I but I can still share some thoughts. My first year in school was all b/w film done to death, just haven't done much of it since.

Back then it was all about trying to master the 'zone system' of black and white photography, which is what Ansel Adams pioneered and excelled at. All about finding the perfect balance in exposure of highlights and shadows in an image.

Of course doing this with digital and the ability to edit those things is way easier than doing it with film, but the topic is still relevant with digital. Check out the b/w zone system technique for some good info on it
