You know what I really hate... the TSA and their cryptic ass rules on fishing stuff I can bring on a plane. Im planning on spreading the holiday cheer in the form of covid to AZ*, and I plan to do some fishing. TSA says "Sharp fishing tackle that may be considered dangerous, such as large fish hooks" need to be in my checked bag. What do they consider large? Like a hook I catch a 5lb bass on is pretty small compared to the hooks my dad uses in florida for ocean fishing.

*really I need to get done with covid by the time I leave.

There is ALWAYS fine print that says something like "The final decision rests with the agent on scene" so they COULD reject everything...

 

Im watching videos about it, like 90% of them just tell you how to carry your rod and reel, but not your hooks.

I guess I could probably take off all the hooks, put them in another small baggy, then if they throw a fit ask them which hooks are bad, and then toss them in the trash and buy new hooks when I get there.

Its only like 3-4 rapalas that would have hooks, the rest is soft plastics and I can buy hooks for those anywhere. But if I had to buy all the gear there, it would be like $150.

Well I'm full of regurts.

Meeting started at 9 and just now ended. I set my limit for 50 at $125, after I had it at $131 previously. I thought, why shouldn't I be aggressive.

Now it's over $145 and I had to raise my limit to $138 just to try and get some on a downswing. Part of me is hoping @Iwilltaco is right and it goes to $100 this week
