I don't know about you guys, and yeah that Tacoma looks sick, and that FJ - killer! --- but my heart is set on that sleek one-piece toaster on wheels.

Not green/renewable enough for me, still uses electricity from coal and gas plants, a little clean nuclear but just not enough.

Holding out for something truly renewable, maybe a wood burner… I dunno, maybe convert water to steam with it… wait… steam engine, that’s it!

Atlis starts at 42k for base model, if it does go on sale in 2022, other manufacturers would be silly not to be competitive

How are they gonna replicate all the odd clicks and ticks a Tacoma makes if it doesn't have an engine?

:crapstorm: Me battling against all these garbage EV’s. Battery powered cars/trucks are not the answer. Hydrogen is a better option if Dino juice is not longer available.

All new trucks are expensive not just electric ones. But the Lightning pricewise lines up pretty close with the same level gas models.

You got that right, average 53k for a decent truck with good options

    Like, so many.
The current Hilux is not an attractive truck. I've ridden in and driven the previous gen Hilux, and I gotta be honest, I just don't get the hype. It's fine, but I would pick my Tacoma every single day.

Ahh…think we all knew they were full of shit. Just waiting for the right moment.

Surprised they shown the possible 4th Gen Tacoma early though.

Hilux looks ugly like the Ranger/Canyon/Colorado. I'd rather move to have full size than have a truck that looks like that.

No 4th gen sub forum :notsure:

So the car next to it looks like a FJ cruiser but maybe smaller in size? I guess they want something to go against the Bronco and Defender maybe.
In terms of weight .. this ev taco must be super heavy and any additional mods will definitely decrease range.

In terrains in my area (Which are 99% desert dunes), this would sink in a heartbeat being too heavy.

That rear bar does look like a link and not leafsprings for sure If it's anything, the car should have a coil/shock rear setup and not fully independent. But with the electric motors, who knows?

As for body, I feel it's just a rebodied 3rd gen and not a completely new shape. I can see 3rd gen front end conversions happening for sure in the future. What I really want to see is the interior.

Would seriously consider buying... all in for electric vehicles! Interested to see the price tag.

Right? Other forums I'm on are keying in on different models and getting all pumped. Half this stuff looks like it's built with Legos.

I'm all in for the optimism though.
