    I'm actually thinking about getting a replacement shift knob for the 2013 Mazda3 I totaled a few weeks ago before I bought my TRD-OR. Same gear pattern but the Toyota knob just doesn't hit me in the feels like my Mazda's did.

    Same. Before I go through the expense and effort I need to figure out if it's going to be comfortable since my right hand rarely leaves the shift lever. It's a comfortable position right now (more comfortable than my Mazda, actually) and I'd hate to ruin that just for a slightly faster shift.

    The short shifter is a bit of a misnomer... it shortens the shifts but doesn't shorten the shifter. The shifter raises approximately an inch because of the decrease in leverage created by the extension and spacer. The travel of the shifter into each gear significantly decreases by approximately ½ the travel. So your hand position doesn't change too much.

    Also I would recommend removing your hand from the shifter when not shifting. Using the shifter as a rest has a way of wearing out shift forks in the transmission faster.

    CVC tuning offers the coyoza tune on your side of the coast, it's supposed to be the best m/t tune out there. i'm waiting for someone in the southeast to be able to do it.

    Hmm, so a shortened throw would place my hand further forward in each of the even gears, including the gears I spend most of my time in (4th and 6th), but make the odds a little less of a stretch to get into. I'm going to have to think on it.

    Never had a problem with the shift forks, and even if I do that's on me and I'll just have the transmission rebuilt, but I do make sure my hand does not rest on the shifter in neutral to prevent wear on synchro's.

    my local tuner ranked Coyoza below KD Max even for the manual and said those who tried KD max after Coyoza liked it better. :notsure:

    Really? I'm curious as to what they liked about the kdmax better than the coyoza. I've got kdmax right now, but i'd pay the $$$ to give the coyoza a shot.

    Damn, no man's land right there for a quick tune.
