I'm due for 30k maintenance. Im fine paying someone to give me non-synthetic oil but I hate paying for synthetic since I can't verify that they actually gave me synthetic.

I haven't changed my oil in years. If I change it myself, what's the current method for getting rid of it in this area?? Do I need to drop it off at a recycling center or is there an easier way?

Most autoparts will take it back for free: oreillys, autozone, advance, etc. Even walmart takes it back if they have an auto center.

Used motor oil is re-refined and made into new product, so these places have an incentive to collect it back again

You don't have to buy it there either. I bought at wal mart and took it to o'reilly.

yep I'm guilty of the same. I buy supertech oil, but oreillys is closer to home for the return

Yep. I drain it into a pan, reinstall plug with new crush washer and new filter, fill with new oil. Then pour the used oil from pan back into the now empty oil container.

Then when you get to O'Reilly's or wherever, dump the jug into their big storage container and they usually toss the jug there too

It's actually "illegal" in Virginia as well, per Code Sections 46.2-802 and 804. Doesn't really get enforced though.

That tacoma looks spicy, but the EV FJ cruiser looks like an actual FJ accidentally knocked up a honda element and this was born

If the looks of the Taco hold, I might be tempted to daily one of those. The smaller FJ also looks like a commuter I could deal with.

My thoughts exactly. Really hope that is the design of the 4th Gen Tacoma. Plus having an FJ to scoot around in? Twist my arm, Toyota…:D

I would think it's close. Toyota is supposed to be unifying the Hilux / Tacoma for interchangeable parts, so it makes sense that they wouldn't change the EV version as it just adds production cost. But I've also seen where they are following Fords idea and trying to make the Tundra / Tacoma look similar. I hope not. The Tacoma is identifiable from a distance because nothing else looks like it.
