Bought our auto train tickets this morning to head south in April. $335 for one way passage, private sleeperette room for 2 people with the bike. Going to ride down to Key West first then work our way home trying to hug the coastline as much as possible. Going to start the Iron Butt Association Lighthouse Tour on our way home.

Been busy since T-giving picking through the new (to me) moto. Waiting on the Brown Truck to drop off my new decals, grips, rear tire and frame guards. I'll be shocked if I see them before New Year. I've somehow only managed to break one bolt on this thing (lower frame guard bolt). Wrenching on trucks for the last decade has definitely made me a bit too careless with hand torquing.

The transition back to dirt is nearly complete.

It's been a very hot minute. But, here's an 02 FXD i picked up a few months ago for a winter wrenching project. Essentially setting it up just like the Streeet Bob - proper suspension, bars, seat, pipe, all the standard Dyna bolt ons.

Greased/packed steering, linkage and wheel bearings. Shimmed valves since they were tight. Handful of other things as well, but valves are why the top had to be opened up. Did it for piece of mind, knowing the PO hadn't checked them since initial break in.

You had me beat. 33 and every so lightly snowing here. Cul de sac and driveway were icy but the rest of the roads were fine. It was nice riding again, I had to take the 4runner in to work almost all of last week because of snow and crap road conditions.

The 48 finally came home after 8 months at the shop waiting on parts and repair. I had them swap the old tank back on while it was there. My bones are healed but the 20-minute ride home certainly revealed a lot of aches on my left wrist, forearm, elbow, and knee. I'll have to get back into regular riding to work through that pain. The chiropractor has been fantastic.

Got my SRCmoto dash panel installed with the cigarette style and dual usb plugs, along with the two powered switches. Also added a quad lock for my phone and a gopro mount.

Neighbor traded his XSR for a 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4. Then he makes me start it haha. And now we are trying to figure out where the battery is, and why the seat is bolted on. Will get pics soon

I sat on it, but its like sitting in a hot rod. Low front, fat rear tire. Bolted on seat. I dont like it. Plus he said he paid 22k for it. Thats more than i paid for my truck 6 years ago. Hard pass for me. Plus my neighbor put it on all of the lowest settings. He wont ride it to its fullest. He should have kept the XSR
