I was more referring to the new Tundra, which I'm sure the 4th Gen Taco will be on par with more or less tech wise.
I can't drive vehicles with all the beeping and automation. Heck, I get mad when the doors lock on out '06 when I never told them to haha.
I like to work on my own vehicle as much as possible and the new Tundra/Tacoma I cannot! Would love if they still made a work truck package with no trickle down from the higher trims whatsoever haha. The '06 Tundra has been the best truck I've ever had. The wife loves our '06 4Runner. I've test-driven the new Tundras and even though they're way too big to be enjoyable to daily, as long as they're pre-TSS beeping ('18+) I could own one if I had to I guess ('16-'17).

I have no problem with tech if the user interface is unnoticeable and customizable (ie. lets me do what I want with it, turn things on, off, etc). These new vehicles do so much for you that I can't keep up with it all. I doubt there's a way to change any settings. We shall see. Only options in 10-20 years will be used whatever is out today, so I'll be forced to switch eventually!

I’m definitely interested, not sure I’m going to cancel the Cybertruck pre-order though. But ever since I bought my wife a Tesla, I vowed I would never buy a gas vehicle again because it’s been THAT FUCKING AMAZING! We went from $250 a month in gas in her car, to about $14 a month in electricity. And this thing will blow the doors off pretty much anything at the red light

Always find it funny people bitching about the car/mini van motor. Toyota trucks had car engines in them from the very start. The old 20R/22R could be found in the Celica among others.

What I have learned the most from this forum, is that the new generation of Toyota owners are mostly a bunch of fucking cry babies. Don’t think I have ever heard so many people complain. I mean… if you don’t like it that much, buy something else. For fuuuuucks sake. LOL!

:duh: I thought those were KO2s, but now they look more like the GY Wranglers from the new Bronco. Wheels look like a new interpretation of a Rock Warrior wheel. Lift? I don't think that truck has a suspension.

Damn. Too poor to afford it but I would love an EV for a DD. Digging the white black scheme. Gotta run 50% windshield tint to really set it off though. So a fat ticket is always a possibility. But where I live as long as you don’t look sketchy you’re fairly safe.

    Sweet.
Yeah I went all irresponsible mode and did model 3 performance. Hole E shit. Too dangerous !
I don’t mind driving aimlessly now on trips to the Zoo or mountains or beach just cuz no gas bill , oil change or so. Plus our solar helps cover most electricity. Worse comes to worse
I’ll use the rip off tesla super chargers or cheaper substitutes in case I need to power up when I’m too far from home. Also ,like a bum , I’ll even try the free ones at some casinos / malls . They are 220 volt so not that slow

I mean , it’s obviously not as convenient as the free Gas stations they have here and there , but hey , sitting in the car playing games or watching BS helps pass the time.

    Ahh gotcha!

I grew up working on my vehicles, burnt out. This year was bad for the old 1st Gen Taco…so after 19 years of ownership I threw in the towel.

Get ya on the nanny devices, they are growing on me though. It has saved me a couple times when a couple people stopped short in front of me.

There is going to be a day when we aren’t allowed to drive our own vehicles anymore.

I'm fine with it being there, as long as it never once makes a sound (random side note, our 89-year-old neighbor had his Honda CR-V slam on the brakes full stop for a sprinkler next to the road haha scared him half to death!)

We miss our older Toyotas a lot . . . but we also enjoy being able to hold speed (and even pass safely) on the highway these days haha.

This is exactly how my model 3 is done. White with full tint. The dumb stock dark 20” wheels make it look a bit better than a normal ugly model 3 (which looks like a duck to me Lol)
You can’t see shit at night with the tint , so you must trust the cameras and that cartoon vehicle surroundings display on the center screen. Anything suspicious just pops up as a construction cone lol. It has a hard time with curbs and holes so they will get ya. And with 20” wheels your entire soul feels it :(
