It will be interesting to see who got the formula right. I predict another Brawn GP type of season. One team found a loophole, or did something better than the rest.

Why is that? His talents are going to waste at Williams. Besides Merc needs faster drivers to compete with Red Bull :luvya:

I wouldn't say going to waste, for the last 3 years he's helped develop that car up to 8th position from last. Now they have the cash input they will have as much money and a lot more wind tunnel time than Mercedes to develop the all new car which as you know has the Merc PU but will as of 2022 also have the transmission. In the next couple of years Williams could be in a much different place and he could be winning championships in the historic home team that is Williams.

No I saw it and I was impressed like everyone else, I'm consistently impressed by him each weekend, just wish he was staying with his home team. The only bonus I see with him going to Merc is that he will show Hamilton up.... Out with the old in with the new.

I'll be surprised if he ever allows another F1 related interview, spends time with a biographer, or even shows up at a F1 race or event as a spectator.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Mercedes plays it next year, wonder if they are going to let him race Hamilton.

Yeah, I think they bought the Honda engine development property in Milton Keynes and took on some of their engineers as part of the deal.

Edit: good read about it here… https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/...r-engine-supplier.6qkvqcmeSV5Fn3xgTBVstL.html

Wolff has let his drivers race unless they keep crashing into each other like Hamilton-Rosberg did or it is late in the season and only one driver has a shot at the WDC. IMO that's unlikely to change.

But ... if one Merc driver is leading a race and the other is behind he will become "number 2" if a competitor behind looks like he could threaten the leader. I think if Russell is the driver behind he will accept a "team" strategy to help the leader but I don't know if Hamilton will go along with that program more than once. His radio might just go dead or something. Lets hope Russell is as hot shit as we all think he is because that could get interesting.

But if the driver trailing is faster then they might ask them to let them by if the data proves it to be true.:notsure:
