I bet it will be crowded, especially after first snow, but I have never been, so I am down to go.

I might be able to do a snow run up in Big Bear this weekend, Saturday...Coxey Truck Trail starts out in Hesperia and goes all the way up into Big Bear, nice easy drive (4wd required this time of year). It's a fire road but with the snow you need 4x4.

Connects to 3N16/Holcomb Valley and Green Valley as well as other easy trails up there

SuperDave and I are heading out from lakewood and likely going up the 605 if you want to convoy. Otherwise we can meet at Pioneertown.

You down for Saturday? I have to double check with the wife that we don't have anything else planned first

And anyone else that might be interested

Might be able to meet up with the Pioneertown group up top haha. I'd love to the Pioneertown run but that's a much farther drive for me to get out to that side to start.

I still have to make sure I can do it so I can't 100% commit yet. But the meetup would be where the Coxey Truck Trail starts, off of Bowen Ranch Rd near Hesperia.

Exact GPS coord where it starts is 34.395747, -117.125525

Its known as Coxey Rd on Google Maps, you can follow Coxey Rd all the way on the map until it hits Rim of The World which is in Fawnksin (near Big Bear Lake).

Good way to get up into/out of Big Bear while avoiding pavement and highway traffic. Although its a pretty well known route to the 4x4 community so there's usually other trucks/Jeeps on it.

I'm cleared to go on Saturday, but of course I woke up this AM feeling like hell. Wife's had a bad cold for the last few days and I thought I got off scott free from it, but apparently not. Gonna see how I feel tomorrow before committing, def want to try and do this though because who knows how much snow we'll be getting this year with the lack of storms so far.
