What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Do those bump stops compress? What brand?

 

They're a stiff rubber; durobumps is the brand.
I'd rather the sumo springs for a slight constant contact but these took so long to ship that I didnt feel like fooling with it.

 

Today I put on one of those reindeer antler kits for the holidays. Does that count as having done something to my 3rd gen?

Just picked up the truck from CBI and really happy with the install, appreciate Justin’s attention to detail. Install included:

Installed the Cali Raised LED 3x2 18W Amber LED Fog Lights today.

Its for all double cab 3rd gens. I don't know about access cabs or the 2022 model year. Most people who have water leakage from the brake light have a 2016 or 2017 tacoma.

Description

The Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp on the involved vehicles has a seal between the lamp and the vehicle body which can deteriorate over time. If the seal deteriorates sufficiently, water from outside the vehicle could leak into the vehicle cabin through the seal.

Remedy

Any authorized Toyota dealer will inspect the vehicles headliner to determine if a water leak resulting from this condition has occurred. If no such water leak is identified, the dealer will install the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp Repair Kit FREE OF CHARGE. If the aforementioned water leak is identified, the dealer will (1) either install the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp Repair Kit or a new Center High Mount Stop Lamp Assembly, as appropriate; and (2) clean and/or replace interior components damaged by the aforementioned water leak, as appropriate, FREE OF CHARGE.

I did two modifications today. First, I put on the Eibach Stage 2 suspension kit with the Headstrong Off-road 3 leaf AAL.

The single best modification I have done to the truck so far. I have a bump leaving my neighborhood that used to shake my bones from my toes through my teeth with the stock Sport suspension. Feels like nothing now. Haven’t tested off-road yet, but I’m very pleased that I purchased the Eibach Stage 2 suspension kit.

I was heavily debating this set and TRD PRO Fox take-offs. I called around to nearly every shop within a 100 mile radius and no one rebuilds Fox shocks here. That was ultimately the deciding factor for me, and I think I made the right decision.

Second mod was adding a subdued American flag to the front license plate

def appreciate the first mod and seems like might be something I should do

 

Installed some kc hilites slimlite 6” ditch lights today and removed my 4” kc lzr… these things are bright AF and look great imo

 

added running boards i picked up from another TW member. thanks, @philliam1! my wife can no longer complain abt getting into the truck.
