This is the farthest i've been. Bear camp 6, I believe. I'm not leaving until after I explore a spur at this point.

I mean I drove it a few weeks ago just to hit a few trails before they close next month. I make the day trip a couple times a year so it's not terrible. It's about 2.5 hours from where I'm at (with no traffic and 80ish on the highways) so it's not awful. I definitely want to do a ride with some other people since I just go solo every time. Shit I've driven to Utah and Colorado this year and last year so I don't mind driving lol.

That looks like the spot we stopped before or right after the muddy ruts.

It’s about an hour and 15 minutes for me to get there so I’m good with any time. I just prob need to start heading back around 3-4ish. I considered camping Friday night but idk

tbh I don't even stop people unless they're going like 20 over so I feel ok with that. You won't get a speeding ticket/reckless unless you're basically in triple digits or just an asshole (from me anyway). I don't write tickets much

My top reasons for stopping are driving slow in the left lane and high beams. Can't stand that

I don't really care about weed either unless its trafficking or distribution since that's usually related to gang shit lol

I mean, I can be at the parking lot at 10am if that helps but if it's rough on the others then I would rather just do 11am in the parking lot.
I'm like 40 mins away but I won't get off work till 3am sat and home by 3:40.

It says "saphire" NC. It should be roughly 10 miles up 130 from hwy 11.

Wait.....end point? There is no end or exit.
You turn around and come back out as far as I know.

There was an exit when the gates were open at the nc line via Auger hole but that's long been closed. It led to chestnut mountain road and exited Gorges state park. North of the Bad Creek entrance.

I can't remember who made this trip but I found it in my files. If I can get it to load in GAIA then we golden. I know that road that leads to the lake is gated off but we can drive down some and walk the rest maybe.
