The three original figurines my parents bought back in 1999; Unfortunately, the train conductor guy suffered a broken arm at some point and was kept in his box for the last few Christmases...

In 2000, we went to some shop in Anacortes, Washington; I picked out the aforementioned Christmas tree stand and the Model T if I remember correctly. My mom picked out these skaters and the Brighton School; I believe skaters are actually Dickens Village pieces too, but my mom couldn't find any specifically for Christmas in the City...

My grandma bought me the firehouse, the firetruck, AND the firefighters for Christmas in 2001; This was literally barely three months after 9/11, so it was rather fitting...

All of this stuff is at least 16 years old as of this post, so glue is going to wear out...

Another Dickens Village piece, given to me by my aunt for Christmas in 1998; Beginning life as a boy with either a Golden Retriever or a Yellow Lab, my aunt used a sharpie marker to turn it into a Black Lab. These two were supposed to represent me and the Labrador I had at the time, Molly; My aunt said it was to inspire me to get started on my own Christmas Village...

My aunt said that the dog was a originally a Dalmatian before she used a sharpie to turn it into a Black Lab, but I acquired the same figure from my Grandma in about 2014 before she died, and as you can see it's clearly either a Yellow Lab or a Golden Retriever...

Unfortunately, Beekman House and the Christmas Tree need new light bulbs; However, I'm pretty sure Beekman House has the original light bulb from 1999, so over 20 Christmases ain't bad!

Beekman House just had a loose light bulb, though I'm still pretty sure that's the original from 1999!

The owner saw my truck and came to chat; I could not resist asking him if his electric bill is higher than his mortgage payment, and he said no!

He says that thanks to LED technology his electrical bill for the month of December is only about $100 higher than it normally is!
