    Hi fellows,
So I'm thinking of doing rack mounted overhead lights, mainly for additional light and also for ...guessed, looks. I love those large ARB lights but up here in Alberta they are over $1k for a pair. Sure, there are the knockoffs but the reviews are terrible...yellowing lens, condensation...so I went with Rigid 3" cubes instead. I'm thinking of installing them on the rack that I don't have yet...UpTop is going to be ...most likely. I will go somewhat unconditional, 6 spots and two floods turned towards the ditch.
Switch wise, I'll have the 6 spots on one circuit and the two floods sides on their own circuit. Independent from high beams...
Any thoughts on this other that hood glare...thanks.

just understand, if you put lights on the roof, if your glass is remotely dirty at all, you will have glare issues. better off mounting lights in the grille, bumper area, for better vision. your results may vary. Ski

Don’t come to BC. Police love giving tickets for uncovered lights in our Province.

    err, hmm.
    Anyways..
yep Div 4 covers lights. But basically no roof lights or offroad lights can be uncovered while on the roads. You see a lot but you also see CVSE and RCMP handing out tickets like candy. They like to sit in Golden and Valemont and make Albertans cry..

My point of view based on my setup below. The light bar on top of the roof looks super cool but for functionality, my LP6s on the bumper are way better due to free of obstruction. The BD S8s (roof top lights) lit the hood and they don't go too far. The BD LP6s on the other hand turn night light into day light (maybe a bit exaggeration). It is your truck though, YMMV. Please post your pictures once you installed.20211210_171936 (2)_LI.jpg
