I'm sure we set a record high today of previous in 1939, 73° today. Very high winds though and work let most everyone out early. I got home just before storm front rolled through and now we're without power.

No damage to the house this time and the worst is over so I'm counting blessings.
Still hard to imagine the devastating tornados in Kentucky and other areas.

Those are reasonable prices; I'd pay that for either of those all day long!

Weather guy was actually right for once and we got about 7” of snow. Luckily all the lights were up already. Had to dig out the inflatables

Panhandle is a beautiful, beautiful area. Wouldn't mind living up there a bit or over in Lower Alabam, seems like cost of living is really reasonable in both.

I grew up in Kentucky and while I miss the mountains, not enough to ever move back. In Florida you've got days sometimes weeks to prepare for a hurricane. Tornadoes you've got minutes. No thanks.

We're not supposed to get that much snow but we;re currently getting freezing rain. Then snow. And 50mph winds.

My driveway is icy enough that I couldn't make it into the garage in 2WD.

I'd say I hope we get a snow day tomorrow but since my wife will still have to work, I always drive her in and pick her up and have to shovel so not really a snow day.

thank you. Yes snow a couple times a year is fine with me. Couldn’t do it all the time.
We are the last place with motels before the highest elevation on I5 so they always shut it down here. Town is a mess with truckers and travelers everywhere. Luckily I was home and didn’t have to deal with all of them.
