I hit an alligator a few months back driving to work about 130am. He was perpendicular to the road, black road, black gator all I saw was one eye until I was on top of him. Smoked him doing 60+ and never slowed down. Went back in the daylight no blood anywhere, I only hit him with 2 tires, guess he crawled away.

Flipped a gocart one time, no other real incidents with me driving.

Can't imagine losing both parents at 12. Shew that'd be hard.

Got out with only a minor scratch. Semi wasn't paying attention, hit the car behind me that pushed us up that embankment. Killed the driver in the car unfortunately...

I've been in a couple more, but this one left the biggest mark on me mentally/emotionally.

Many years ago on base in Texas i was going through a traffic circle just after dusk, saw what looked like a fire hose across the road. I was up on it before i figure out it wasnt a fire hose but a snake! I hit it but didnt have a flashlight to go look for it. I know i messed it up cuz it saw it writhing around in mirror:eek:

Was on my way to NC Tool company to pick up a load of anvils and horseshoes when a young guy t- boned my UPS truck. I ended up in a strawberry field. He was injured pretty bad.

    RE: Poll

Smoked a deer and it ended up going through the rad and causing 9k worth of damage. Insurance wrote it off.

Long story short, been a lot of catalytic converter thefts in the area recently. Mechanic across the street said he saw a guy pushing a baby stroller with a blanket over it this morning about a mile away and didn't think anything of it. A guy who drives a tow truck brought him a truck a few minutes later to work on and said "the cops have a guy handcuffed in front of the place that buys converters with a baby carriage" :D

I grew up on the San Francisco peninsula, average temp around 60. Rarely gets freezing or above 80. You've got to make a fortune to live there now.

Florida is worse than here, no thank you. I don't think I could stand any more humidity.

    Re: the poll.

2006 Mazda 626. Hit an 8 point buck built like a brick :poking: house at 65 mph around 3 in the morning. Fortunately, when he hit, the hood buckled and threw him away. Probably wouldn't have walked away from that one if he had come through the windshield.

2008 Kia Rio. Driving home from working at Subway about 10pm. A teenager had decided to push an inoperative riding mower from his front yard to the barn about 200 yards down the road. A ditch in the barnyard prevented him from pushing it in the grass. So, with black clothes and no lights or reflective material; he did the dumb thing and paid for it. Through the lawn mower 40' off the road and it broke his left arm. I hit him at 55mph, and he's lucky he was pushing the mower from the right hand side or I would have killed him.

2000 Ford Crown Victoria. Loved this car with the 4.6L V8. A local Amishman didn't latch his pasture gate all the way and his buggy mare got out at 5:15am. Black horse in the black of night and fog so thick you can drink it didn't make for good viewing. I never saw what I hit, the Amish dude's insurance wanted to total the car, but I got a salvage title and fixed it myself.

Humidity is irrelevant when you live near the coast and get that onshore trade wind breeze. That's the only way to do Florida. Orlando doesn't get that breeze.

Its like 7-10 degrees hotter in south Florida than where I am here in Central Florida. I dont see how they stand it inland.
