They had those absolutely devastating tornadoes in Kentucky, you had crazy high winds in Colorado, and in my neck of the woods it hardly feels like December...

Also, I talked to one of the guys working on this brand new house around the corner from me; The new owners have moved in, but the shutters and a few other things are on back order, including the stove!

What I can tell you is that this builder is substituting cheaper appliances until the high-end ones arrive, so (A) the place will pass a home inspection, (B) the people could have their new home before Christmas, and (C) the people can actually cook until the permanent appliances arrive; A cheap range oven with no self-clean is better than no oven at all!

Yeah, but it won't pass inspection, and last I heard banks won't issue a loan for a mortgage if the house is missing things like the stove; No dishwasher is fine, but it's gotta have a stove!

Especially these days; Philly is less than an hour from my house, and what's going on there makes me want to move further into the middle nowhere! Philly has officially had more murders in 2021 than it did in 1991; 30 years! I forget whether that was all homicides or just the shooting-related deaths, but damn! I'm getting an alarm system installed in the Tacoma next year, so if the police don't make it in time or I'm not around, a couple of my armed neighbors will hear it and keep some
punk from the driving off in one of the only things that's helped me keep my sanity during the pandemic!
