Best 3rd Gen Colors?

Don't have buyer's remorse on my 4runner, but I certainly have sellers remorse for my fav blue taco. I miss it every day.

 

I've only seen one in person. It was a TRD OR 4x4 DCSB.

 

I did see 3 cement DCSB's (primer grey) yesterday; all within a a few minutes of each other. Kinda odd.

 

I've always been a silver guy (many silver vehicles.) Sure like the cement color though.

I'm content with BR though.

 

Most of the colors are just too blah for me. Loved my Radiant Red 2004 Tacoma but my 2014 Barcelona Red one just never really was my favorite.

Now that Electric Lime had come along, I definitely have to go with it.

 

Cement is by FAR my favorite, and I'm terrified of totaling or getting my rig stolen and not being able to replace it with a new one in cement, now that it has been discontinued. Ahhh first world problems...

I've gotten a bunch of compliments from randos on it since I bought mine in September. Given how hard it was to get the exact truck I wanted (DCLB 4x4 SR5), I wasn't sure when the dealer mentioned they had a "Cement" due into the lot. How good could Cement look?

The salesman assured me that it looked excellent, and boy did it ever.

2. Cav. Blue
3. Cement
4. Quicksand
5. Lunar Rock
The others..meh

 

Quite a fan of the colors that pop. Barcelona Red, Inferno, and Voodoo Blue.

Do have to mention though, that Lunar Rock and Quicksand would be up there as well as 4 and 5. Do like those as more muted colors.

I thought for sure Lunar Rock would be the fan favorite.

But the Cement color Tacoma's I have seen look pretty damn good. That color just sits right on this truck. Toyota has a lot of good colors.

I think the only ones who vote for MGM are doing so because it's what we drive, lol!

 

I got super white because my red 99 turned into panty dropping pink.

 

If pink is dropping panties... I'd have to make a motion there is nothing wrong with driving a pink truck then. Wait... how big are these panties and what part of the country are they from? lol.

 

If I’d bought a 2020 in Army green, I would not be able to resist putting a RAF rounded on the sides to make it look like a Spitfire…

(RAF = Royal Air Force)

 

To each his own, but I think those 3 are the most hideous colors they offered. Cadaver Blue, Metallic Primer Gray, and Baby Shit Yellow.

My favorite was Magnetic Gray Metallic, followed damn close with Blazing Blue Pearl.

 

It might be that Lunar Rock is still too new, though it is the favored Toyota marketing color for 2022, it seems.

While I like Cement, I do think it's a bit overrated because of the number of trucks in that color. More people own and see them around. It's hard not to like when you see it in the wild.

Cavalry Blue and Quicksand are a bit underrated in my opinion. Cavalry Blue because it only got 2 years of production, and Quicksand since it's been out of production for a couple of years. Cavalry Blue is a rare sighting, but is impressive for those who like 'flat'* colors.

*I personally think the flat colors only really show well on the OR and Pro with the black fender flares. For other trims, the flat colors are less interesting.

I agree. Some models look pretty good with the color coded fenders.
