That’s awesome! I’m really interested in these tires.

The weight is not bad as well, 4 pounds lighter than KO2s and 8 lighter than grabber ATX.

51 pds for the ATIII is excellent glad I read this thread as that's what I will be doing when we get our new 22'. I run a Toyo MT 285/75/16 on our 17' now and at 67 pds these are WAY too heavy for the 3.5 Auto.

Possibly going from 265/75/16 Wildpeaks to 275/70/17 Wildpeaks. How bad does the performance suffer? Is it worth it? I have the KDMax tune I can load at anytime.

    Work in progress...
I just went from 265/70r17's to KO2 275/70r17's today. I was ready to feel a big difference. I honestly don't feel any difference. 100 mile ride home from the tire shop on the beat up I 10 felt like it always does.

Anyone have pics of the new Toyo Open Country AT in 275/70/17 on their rig?Thinking about stepping up to that size from my current 265/70 KO2s.

I am eyeing Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 275/70/17. Anyone know how much they would rub at stock height with 17" TRD 4Runner wheels? I need tires now but was going to hold off on installing Bilstein 5100's with 2885 coils until the spring.

They might rub on the mudflaps but that’s about it.

When turning into a driveway hard that compresses the suspension, it rubs the factory mud flap, which is consistent with what others have said, I just haven’t bothered removing the flaps.

Running pro suspension right now on the 4runner sema’s (0 mm offset) with 265/70/17 KO2’s. I’m thinking of moving to 275/70/17 but was curious if it would rub while off roading. Anyone tried something similar?

I have 275/70/17 on the SEMAs and do not rub, even at full flex. Depending on your alignment, you could end up with minor rubbing that you could really ignore. If your truck is like mine, you’ll have no issues.

I have a 5100 lift, which allows the suspension to cycle fully (IE not a spacer lift), so the lift hasn’t prevented any rubbing issues that might have otherwise occurred.

Lift does not prevent rubbing. Lifting a truck (unless it is a spacer lift) has no affect on the arc the wheel travels through, or where it will or will not rub. As I have a true lift, my wheels still end up in all the same places, at the same angles, as when I had stock suspension. The only difference is the height of the truck in its resting state due to stiffer springs. When I stuff a wheel, it’s in the same spot it would be with stock springs and shocks.

    Hope that makes sense.

Spacer lifts do prevent up-travel (because there is now a spacer there) and can thus prevent rubbing with larger tires. The downside is spacer lifts also limit travel that you might want so your suspension can articulate when required on rough ground. For “appearances only”, spacers lifts are fine.

But wouldn’t a lift prevent some rubbing in the mudflap/wheel liner area? Or am I not understanding something.
