The truck looks amazing, if i win the lotto I will be sure to buy it when it is released. But, these are likely gonna cost too much for a not millionaire to own. THet are nice designs though, wonder how their Off-road and tow capabililties will be. Would not mind having one to do SAR callouts in.

Your words about it being an evolving sector are right on. The thing is, electric vehicles are pretty worthless except for vehicles to drive around a local town. You can't feasibly take long trips in one, because of lack of charging stations, and because of how long it takes to actually charge a electric vehicle. I mean, it would add HOURS to a day, let alone DAYS, along with extra hotel bills because of having stop and charge for 8-12 hours. I mean, how ridiculous is that? And as someone else said, if gas engines are outlawed, well good luck with getting any more overnight packages, because there will be no more airplanes. Good luck with taking a train, because they don't run on electricity, and well, there will be no more 3 day delivery with the post office, because trucks if they ARE electrified, will have to stop and charge for 8-12 hours and so, the old 5 days for a ground delivery with UPS is now going to take probably 5 weeks! And I don't know about you, but let's say they did electrify planes, would YOU want to fly on one and it runs out of battery? I don't think so! The only viable option I have seen out there now, is the one currently offered by Toyota, which is a hydrogen based engine. It produces no emissions at all, and you can fill it up at about the same time as filling up with regular unleaded gas.

The FJ is a more reliable version of the Jeep. They’re still sloppy riding, noisy with. terrible mileage. I looked at one to replace my aging 4 Runner. The taco was better in every respect. Never drove a car as much a claustrophobic POS as an FJ. It’s practicality was nil. And we wonder why they didn’t sell well.

Pretty much spot on. But, they make great second cars for dedicated daily drives not for trips.
The hybrids ( plug in especially) are the best option for a single do everything drive train.

If they don't make long bed anymore, then you can take the short bed out and put your own custom bed so you can sleep in it. Or you can build your own camper like those companies already made for 3rd gen Tacomas.
About the burning houses you are talking about: I understand the houses are burning faster than the old houses BUT you can prevent it burning faster if you have the right materials.

I have seen firefighters had hard time to putting the fire out in house A while house B, they were able to put the fire out in short time which the house B has the right materials.

Just like I have right paint in bathroom.. after many hot steamy showers, no peeling paint at all. You got the wrong paint in bathroom, the paint can be peeled off in 2 days or so. (I have seen this problem at my friend's house which they got wrong paint for that bathroom ceiling.)

You’re not gonna be able to allow the consumer to abuse the batteries. There will be safeguards built into the system to prevent that.

I didn’t mean to start an endless argument so goodbye.

Youre talking about reliability, sloppy riding, noisy and mention the Tacoma?

Id rather go for a Hi-lux. Tacoma is gimped version compared to the international version.

In general, yes but not always. Modern materials have different chemicals used in manufacture and for other purposes, such as decay prevention, etc. Many floor joists are made of particle board, which means glue, which also burns and/or melts resulting in faster collapse. And, again, many materials used in construction, such as the assembly of trusses, are made out of aluminum, which melts faster as well.

Safeguards such as what? You can't control the weather, where/how someone chooses to drive their vehicle, etc.

People drive them no cross country and charges are widely available along common routes. It also doesn't take 8-12 hours at a level 3 charging station. Maybe 40 minutes to and hour from 0-80% depending on the battery size. It would definitely add time to a trip but you're info is incorrect.

Here's a map of the 43,000 EV charging station in the USA. If you can add and subtract you can travel cross country in a large part of the USA in an EV

Think you'll ever hear a Country Song about an electric truck?

Their point is that EV charging infrastructure isn't as robust to mitigate range anxiety for people.

This is where the infrastructure bill comes into play, and hopefully the subsidies help with increasing the number of charging stations to help make EV vehicles more sustainable for longer trips.

    I'll take that as a no!

Won't see an EV parked in the projects either, an Escalade maybe, but in won't be electric.
