Besides, the OR is already stupidly expensive right now. Less money going to the payment is more money going to mods!

I have a local dealer who isn't marking up Tacomas, just MSRP. Sucks, just not as bad as it could be. Other dealers are saying they will be marking the Pros up 10K.

That goes for all vehicles these days. Used is worse. I was looking at a 2021 used Trd OR that had 8000 miles on it and it was more expensive than a brand new Trd OR with similar options. I’m glad I went with my 22….

Yeah, I got a little raped a few weeks ago when I bought a 2020 TRD-OR. I require a stick shift, so I would've needed to wait, and I totaled my Mazda3 so I couldn't wait. Good truck though.

I had a 16 TRD OR and then an 18 Pro. I prefer the Pro because it's great right out of the gate. Also better resale value.

Lamin-X yellow fog light films and a Lamin-X smoked tail light tint kit because I’m too cheap for a some Baja’s and new tail lights at the moment. Hahahaha. I think they turned out nicer than expected!

How do the tails look on? Does it darling the light much? I know some is expected but how much is what I would like to know? Even thinking of this same mod. I did the yellows on the fogs.. liked that a lot..
    looks good by the way!

Lol, looks good. I won't say anything bad about the tint. I'm going to do the same thing when it warms up because I'm not going to blow a couple hundred bucks on aftermarket lights when the OEM's work perfectly fine (once Meso finally gets the Stage 1 kits back in stock).

To be quite honest, I’ve just gave it a look right now and the tint doesn’t hinder the red as much you’d expect! It’s already night time here in Cali. Haven’t given it a look during the day so I can get back to you on that but that’s my biggest concern at the moment. Had a cop follow me not too long ago and no ticket so I think I’m good? Given that Cali has “strict” laws. Hahaha.

Exactly what I was thinking! Sliders are priority at the moment so I figured these films would do the job for now.

It's the same logic I'm applying to the tag light situation. I could blow $85 on a kick ass wiring loom mod that disables the tag lights when I put the truck into reverse... or I could drop $7 on a couple pieces of black plastic that provide nearly identical visibility improvements. I'll keep that extra $78 for now.

id get the Pro if there’s no dealer markup and if you can find one. I’m making a list of dealers marking up prices and taking my business elsewhere, just out of principle. “A man’s got to have a code”

Got the KDMAX PRO tune. what a difference... I thought the 5.29's made a HUGE difference already but now with the tune on top of that it is just incredible. if anyone has thought about, or considering a tune absolutely do it.KDMAX Pro is amazing.

Got the 265/75/16's with the method 305's in! Duratracs in C load. Literally could not be happier. Truck rides great, corners much better. I had rubbing on the front air dam so i took that off and I still get the occasional rub on the mudflaps i think so i will likely take those off to see if thats the culprit, and I will trim the return lip on the bottom of the front flaps if thats the case! These tires look so damn aggressive I have already gotten a bunch of compliments. If you are on the fence do it! I wish i had done it sooner! Stock suspension for now. Got the new method topo caps which are way more lowkey than I expected and I love em. Cheers!
