    I was thinking it was normal but I still haven’t been able to get the “driving on clouds” feeling from my shocks I feel the ride is a bit harsh and I tried everything (c-load tires, “low” air pressure, torqued to spec everything, eye to eye 21”)
    So I was wondering if that sound means it’s time for a rebuild.

    I've heard that sound on some cars before, but we just installed Fox 2.5 DSC's front and back from Accutune and I have NOT noticed that noise.

    My shocks are also tuned by accutune even on the softest setting they are a bit harsh and I don’t feel much a difference from softest to firmest.
    I do have a lot of miles on the shocks so that’s why I was wondering if it’s time for a rebuild only thing keeping me from sending them is that I have no evident leaks

    I have @AccuTune Offroad tuned Fox 2.5s as do 2 of my friends. All 3 make the "woosh" noise going over speed bumps.

    @AccuTune Offroad is the 21" max measurement from the top hat to center of coilover eyelet impacted by the amount of gas in the tank (i.e empty vs full)? If so, at what tank capacity should the measurement be taken?

    Sounds pretty normal, however based on your other comments shoot us a message and we can dive in deeper to diagnose some things.

    Yes, if your Fox shocks are not fully charged with Nitrogen (200PSI), the ride height may not be accurate. You will need a special gauge and needs to be measured at full extension

    Sorry I meant my truck's gas tank or does the weight of the car have any bearing on the measurement?

    Doesnt matter. However its common to have different preload amounts from driver to passenger to compensate for uneven weight up front aka "Taco Lean". Obviously the truck wont weigh exactly the same 100% of the time, but usually that fluctuating weight is only in the rear.

    @AccuTune Offroad Hi,
    I want some Fox coilovers for a new LT kit I'm getting, Marlin Crawler's RCLT 2.75" Long Travel.
    Marlin said to get the Fox 880-02-953.

    I'm heavy 700-1000lbs and currently running 6112's with 700# springs and like it.
    Front and rear steel bumpers, winch, full armor, 2 aux batt, fridge/freezer, shell, awning, extra 10gal gas, 20gal h2o.

    I'd like to get the ones with the DSC adj, 880-06-953.
    Think I want to stick with 700# coil springs and get the Dual Sport Tune.
    Can you PM me with price, availability and any suggestions?

    I'm not going to change my rear shocks just yet but would like to discuss some Fox shocks for it now.
    My current rear set up: Deaver stage 3, BAMF shock relocate and HD Hangers, 14" Bilstein 7100 short body shocks w/res.
    Need shocks close to 19.5"+-.75" collapsed, 12-14" stroke.
    How would the following Fox shocks work with the 880-06-953 in front?
    Can DSC be put on these types?
    FOX-985-26-054
    Fox Shock, Eyelet Ends, 2.0 Performance Series, Remote Reservoir, 12.1" Travel, CD Adjuster - AccuTune Off-Road

    Can these use a shorter rod end and be shortened 1" to 20.18" collapsed length?
    Also, can the DSC adj be added to these?
    FOX-980-02-046
    Fox 2.0 x 14" Smoothie, RR - PreTuned | AccuTune Off-Road
    How would these work with the 880-06-953 in front?
    I like how these are made, would prefer a SS shaft, is that an option?

    What's the availability of these?
    These look like a good fit just a bit longer than I'd like.

    Just wanted to say thanks to @RangerComa :cheers: (and others) for the tips for what to do if you are a dummy and install the coil-overs without checking which way the set screw is facing. Not really fun but definitely doable.
    As others have suggested, I blasted the collar the night before with T9 and used a piece of 5/16 steel I bought at Home Depot which I cut in half and it worked like a charm. The spring compressors that I borrowed didn't fit so I used the tie-down method which worked surprisingly well. Thanks again for everyone on here providing help and feedback. The front is now perfectly level and I am at a smidge under 21" top plate to eyelet and 1.9" of thread showing. (passenger side is a little less)

    @AccuTune Offroad

    Any reason I can't put Fox 14x600 springs from the 4RUNNER Fox 2.5s onto Tacoma Fox 2.5s?

    You shouldn’t have an issue swapping coils, I believe coils are not specific to a vehicle. You just have to choose the correct length and spring rate for the weight of your vehicle. I’m running 14” 600 springs on my truck.
