Looks like the snow is just in time I am leaving Sunday night to go to Philadelphia and then on to Glenfield NY. That should be far enough north to find winter!

It’s one of my keepers I’ve made that one enough I can grab everything for it at the grocery store without having to think about it. And it takes longer to grate the cheese that any other part. And you should be able to get some really good cheese where you are from.

    Good Morning!

Sitting in the stealership service waiting room waiting on my last free oil change (20k). They told me they want to seal up my 3rd brake light lens while I'm here. Also trying to get them to cough up my 2nd key fob. I've gone back and forth with Toyota on that for almost a year on weather the dealership gets it to me or Toyota directly.

The only thing I do differently is to make a proper gravy with the drippings. Thickening anything with cornstarch is kind of gross

sounds good but i dont own a instapot

actually making a pot roast today in the dutch
i dont really measure anything but i use:

1/2 envelope dry brown gravy mix
    1 cup beef broth
some balsamic vinegar, paprika, black pepper, garlic

start by carmelizing a diced onion in some butter then mix everything up and drop in the roast. bake for about 30-45 minutes at 325 in the dutch, turn it over and add in some halved baby reds (and carrots if you like) and cook until it reaches your desired level of done. if you want to thicken the gravy add a bit more of the dry gravy mix and stir on low on the stove top until you get the consistency you want

Yes! I makes a roux with butter and flour and add the drippings from the roast. Thin with beef stock as necessary and adjust seasonings to taste.
