Decided to try my hand at deleting the chrome on my truck today. I was nervous painting over chrome at first but needless to say it turned out pretty good I think.66128847311__339FC356-CBCE-466D-9377-33D1439308DA.HEIC.jpg

Nice. For folks (like me) who have the airbag switch, the clock blank is also on alright mount point. The screen will be partially obstructed by the steering wheel, but it's good enough for me and out of the way.

I've got a magnetic mount (similar to this, I think just an older version) mounted there. https://www.scosche.com/magicmount-pro-dash-carbon-fiber

Last night finally put a new gasket in between the header and the rest of the exhaust. I could never find out the branD header my truck has so I went with a napa gasket.

Worked perfect...was able to get the rusted bolts out without breaking them and be able to re use them. First time since owning the truck last 6 months haven't had to listen to a bad exhaust leak.

Also mounted my new phone holder to the console beside the 4wd shift. Definetly like having maps displayed somehwere beside being mounted on the windshield

Added some juice to my solar setup. Picked up a hood solar panel that puts our around 70watts (under the advertised 85w..), also snagged a 100w fold-able panel in case I'm camped in the shade or for an extended length. In total running about 370w, less when in camper is deployed.IMG_20211216_111954_207.jpg

I keep thinking I need to get one of these hood panels to put on my riding lawn mower, that battery always needs a charge.

I'd recommend laying it down. Lower profile and you can still pull into parking garages. Plus easier to access.
