I downloaded as is as the instructions showed and transferred to TD formatted to fat32 and absolutely nothing happens when plugging it into the head unit on either USB cord. I am going to go purchase another TD maybe there is something wrong with the one I have. I didn’t state you need a windows computer it says that on the installation instructions, but I know better I’ve done this a hundred times on my Mac before it always has worked

I’m kinda disappointed that this replacement unit wasn’t updated before it was shipped out to me as Eric stated it would be.

Is anyone running one of these with a front and rear camera set up to switch to any time? Very interested in how that configuration would work out.

The unit by default is anytime. The anytime mod would be pointless, I removed mine, the unit takes care of it. You just need to find a power wire

The Mac statement wasn’t directed towards you just a general statement so every one know.

I really think it might be the file name if you have Sergey’s firmware loaded.

Thanks I understand that, the Mac thing, as far as the file name it’s correct it seems like my 16gb TD doesn’t work with the head unit, its old, so I need a new one is all. The one I used for the Sergey update was a 32gb and worked flawlessly so go figure lol.

i had a few circa 2008-2012 drives that wouldn’t work with the Tesla unit I had. Bought a new 32gb usb 3.0 stick and worked as it should with fat32 formatting.

Update worked after a few times pulling the card in an out of my usb card reader....got a "not valid update package" warning 3 or 4 times..then it worked.

Edit: Bluetooth started working after walking away to complain about it then going back and trying again the problem solved itself. Its magic sometimes

I was able to upload the FW successfully! For those that are interested there are a few screens that you will see through the process. The first is the little android guy, then a round graphic with an Installing system update banner, then a system list at this point you remove the USB. then it will go through a reboot showing the Android guy for a few minutes then the Android Logo for a minute or so then a restarting w/pinwheel, followed with the Android guy then finally the home screen!

Fingers are crossed for a compleet fix!

Interesting the file from the link you provided says PX6-9.0-d.zip and it downloads the same so should I just change the name after I download it before I try to upload to the unit ?

So renaming the file worked however it completely wiped serge's firmware from my unit now I have to reinstall it all over again. I'm thinking maybe my unit already had this on it and didn't need it maybe.

Ok I’ve finished reinstalling Sergeys software, I think I can do this with my eyes closed now. Everything is back to normal again and still not sure why it wiped his firmware off other than it was possibly already on there. Anyways I just want you all to know I appreciate each and all of your help and input, this is what makes this such a great place for help and insight.
