I started out looking at budget minded devices. Some under $50 bucks get seriously great reviews but the underlying message is, "great sight for the price, even with all the issues" WTF!? Issues? So I decided to increase my standards. It is for home defense after all and figured I shouldn't scrimp that much on a sight. And of course, each $20 - $30 increase in price nets you a newer, or more feature laden model. Like I was reading about how some people with astigmatism have a harder time seeing the red dots clearly. I also read humans see the green spectrum better than red.

The more research I do, the more I find this model is hard to beat for features and overall performance. I especially like the "Shake Awake" feature. It makes it possible to keep this by the bed ready to go in case things go bump in the night. 50k hour battery life doesn't hurt either.

This Elite version is backed by a fantastic warr too. Which with my luck is essential!

Your Holosun Elite product is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship to the first owner upon registration of the product. This warranty specifically applies to the metal structure, optical and illumination systems. The metal structure/housing and optical system (glass) of your Holosun Elite product is warrantied for the life of the product under normal, personal use. Under the Holosun Elite Warranty, the illumination system (LED and electronics), is warrantied for 10 years from the manufacture date under normal, personal use.

Now I just need to come up with the disposable moola.......... $340 isn't crazy money but getting CFO approval might be tricky. I need to sell off some of the things I don't use anymore, because obviously I want flip up iron sights, and the breeching/flash suppressor.

Oh, so I definitely had to remove the Trijicon rear sight from the slide to get it to fit into the MCK charging handle properly. As soon as I get a chance to bring the tire changer back, I want to borrow the rear sight installation tool again from you to reinstall the OEM rear and front sights. I am never going to use the P80 outside of the MCK so....And since the Trijicon is so model specific I'll have to eat that cost. Technically, I don't need any sights on the slide but I don't want them becoming misplaced. I also have that extra Olight Mini. I'd like to keep it for future use but I honestly don't see myself needing it. I want the current build to be my primary interest, and I want it to be perfect for me, and if need be, Deb.

But first, paint. I've been looking at Kryptec camo stencils. Seems like a fun little project. Even I should be able to pull that off. Of course I always believe things are just as easy for me as they are for everyone else. Then I try and the sad truth sets in.........LOL.

I'm interested in how that's going to be mounted on the Roni. :D

Here ya go. MicroRoni frame, Glock 17, 16" Glock barrel, 50 round drum mag, and a breaching flash suppressor, er, I mean muzzle brake (flash suppressors/hider are not MD approved.)

Ok, so maybe it's not called a Breech tool.

But we're just splitting hairs now............

Zombies require head shots, which requires dead aim. Something you know all too well isn't the case with my shaky hands. Like I said before, next time up at Dave's you'll be the one doing all the kissing!

I saw that listed the other day!!!!! The first thing that came to mind was, how much does that barrel slow the bullet down? Then I thought, Who cares, this thing is crazy AF looking and I want that!!!

That's why I live on a hill overlooking it. Excellent vantage point :infantry:

You got that backwards. That long barrel increases velocity. ALL of the powder is burned in the barrel pushing the bullet forward. For 9x19 a 16" barrel will produce roughly 25% higher velocity over a 5" barrel. Of course that number varies by bullet weight and type (FMJ, JHP, etc...) Then again, I could be wrong.

What is this on again? You mentioned ho.e defense so Holosun is a good budget friendly company. Vortex is another great choice that won't break the bank. 20211217_151433.jpg
