@Speedytech7 @BartMaster1234 do you have a suggestion for a router that supports VLANs and ad blocking?

It kind of seems like I should find and old desktop and get PF sense running but I also don't really wanna. Maybe a pihole is a good enough hold over

I've heard good things about PF Sense systems, I didn't even realize ad blocking routers were a thing.

 

I mean... its a dns block list like ublock would use but it helps connected devices and shit lol

No more ads on smart tv hulu app, blah blah type stuff

 

It also occurred to me I could pick up another cheap wifi router to separate all of my connected devices anyways

Sitting in the theater demo room and watching movies was the play.

I bought a Sony Trinitron TV there that is probably still kicking it to this day. I gave it away when I moved out of that town

 

I’m fairly happy with my pihole. Blocks ads fine, but it it struggles if you’re sending it a ton of dns requests. Hard to beat the price tho, and I only run into problems if I’m deploying work stuff.

 

I guess I could try that, I have a TPLINK AC1900 router that's probably 6 years old
