How is that JD 10 year? Had the coy hill this weekend in Vegas and it's amazing.

 

its good whiskey, but probably should be like $40-50......in this line up....its garbage

everything i just drank was priced almost exactly the same except the SBBP being $5 cheaper, the other three blow the 10 out of the water in every category

I drink it neat, room temperature. A couple drops of water and it’s fantastic.

 

I’ll always have a special spot for Four Roses. It was my first bourbon. I was on a cruise ship and my friend said I’ll get the next round and he came back with glasses of four roses neat. We were listening to an acoustic musician in the Irish bar on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Everyone was singing along and having a great time. It was just one of those perfect moments. Here’s a picture.

 

My mom taught me drink Scotch while eating gingerbread cookies. Tonight I'm mixing it up with a different smoky whiskey with my gingerbread 'sqautch cookies.

High octane at 59.8, yet very smooth with some smoke.

So, all you secondary market gurus...what can I realistically get for EH Taylor Barrel Proof?? I've got one I might want to move.

Been enjoying EH Taylor barrel proof lately as well as the JD coy Hill. The JD 10 is also quite good. High West Midwinter m, and just got these 2 unicorns from my buddy

Boss brought me one of his favorites from a WV distillery, had to finish off some Buffalo Trace first.

 

Forgot, I picked up a barrel topper for the man cave that’ll be put together at some point.

 

I have an old Old Grand-Dad barrel end that says "Filled Feb 9 1968" that I used to have hanging in my bedroom when I was single, and will hopefully be displayed again eventually... someday... maybe... hopefully...

 

I really prefer Lagavulin 16, but it has been harder to find lately and getting more expensive. Any good alternatives?

if you had connections I’d say 600…..but finding some friend of a friend prolly like 3-400

I almost never would pay secondary but I would go up to 250 if I saw one
