Yeah, this roof wasn't bad at all as far as heights or pitch, in fact is was a rather flat roof, concrete with sheets of insulation and rubber membrane. We made short work of it and I was just designated safety guy some of these guys have such disregard for rules, I was close to getting...not happy just put it mildly. They need to remember that there are eyes all over the place, and lots of people just make a call for atta boy.

 

Last years was nice, had to go 3 hours away for it though.

 

It is here but on Christmas Day I'll be in Florida.

 

When you start stealing shipping containers and tractor trailer loads of furniture I think that qualifies as going big. Wow!

 

I remember last years trip. Hard to believe a whole year has gone by!
I don't see any snow in the latest forecast for us so most likely no white Christmas.

 

You need to add an "I sure hope not" choice!

 

They’ve been big for a long time, not sure why it’s taken so long to make some arrest.

 

And cold too!

 

I wonder if sometimes they'll get onto some perpetrators of that sorts, and then just let them carry on until they have enough evidence to put the smack down on em.....then slap the wrist and say don't do that again.

 

My extensive knowledge of police procedure (derived entirely from 1970's TV detective shows ) says that they had to gather enough evidence for a solid court case.
BTW, Jim Rockford will always be the best TV detective of all time.


He did almost all of his own driving action in the Rockford Files.

Maybe @Cwopinger can shed some light on this. They’ve been slapped on the wrist many times.

Rockford was an anti hero that you could believe in: the police didn't like him, his place got trashed, his car got smashed up, the bad guys kicked his butt and he would rather talk his way out of a fight if possible.

He was often reluctant to get involved yet did because it was the right thing to do -- and then more often than not didn't get paid.

 

Snow like that looks pretty and is fun for like a week. But when it sticks around for 5 months, not so much!

 

James Garner, he was perfect for the part.
I forget but he was blind in one eye or had a prosthetic/fake eyeball?
