I plan on getting a camper shell in the future, but wanted to see if hauling a tandem kayak (13 ft long) and a single kayak and two bikes would be possible to haul?

Add a rack option to the cap at time of purchase and carry the 2 kayaks up on that. Bikes can fit in the bed assuming you don't have a bunch of stuff back there.

What Sig45 said. Or use a bike carrier that fits in the hitch for bikes.

I found that stacking our 2 bikes in the bed (with a shell) to be a PITA as a pedal or handle bar is always getting crammed in the spokes. Hence we bought a hitch carrier to avoid my cursing w/the bikes.

Got our Smart Cap Evo Adventure to help us with our camping and fishing adventures. The cap adds security to our gear while providing gear carrying capacity. For the cap so far we got a Front Runner load bars and for the cab we will most likely go with UpTop rack. This will complete the top part. We hope to be able to strap down our 17' canoe.

Rack or load bars in the shell and a bike carrier on the hitch and you’re good

You can add racks on cap and topper so you can carry 2 long kayaks on them.

See my photo as racks example but sorry I don't have photo with kayaks on there which I have 2 kayaks. (Kayak 1: 13ft, Kayak 2: 11ft, [Soon 3 kayaks] but not sure which kayak I plan to get for fishing.) You get the idea.

I have an ARE cap, Martin off-road rack and KAC 4 bike platform rack. You can make it handle whatever you need to haul for recreation, flatbed trailer is a better option for hauling any heavy materials with a truck anyway (gravel, dirt, mulch, appliances etc) just easier to load/unload. Love having a cap for securing other stuff.

I run a Leer 100XQ. I have a Victory cab and topper rack. 9 months out of the year I have my DIY PVC Rod holder tube up there and two bike racks. I have also carried my kayak up there but laid flat. I think two bikes and 1 kayak could be squeezed up there.

I run a SNUGTOP camper. When I had it made I added the sportsman package which included rack mounts and an additional 500 pounds capacity to the roof. I also bought the hi top version which gave me extra room inside so that I could stand bikes up inside or move around a little easier as my body is turning into an archaic lump.

Absolutely can. Appropriate roof rack is obviously key.

I have 58" bars. If both of my boats were in "J" saddles I could fit two bikes easily.

I absolutely love it!, it's like nothing else out there. The solid build and appearance it's second to none. It doesn't pretend to be an SUV, it's Overland grade period!

Not a problem if you use some kind of lift assist system on the rack which you unlock it and pull it down so you can take kayak out onto the water.... when done, put it on then put it up onto the rack and lock it up. But it could be expensive. The companies have these on the market.. Look around.

I missed that one when I looked for a topper for my truck when I got a new truck out of the dealership.. I was looking at ARE and Leer that time.. I should have looked some more.. I didn't realize that those smart caps are out there.

Maybe some day I will replace my topper with the smart topper.. Or I could get bed rack instead.. I have to think some more before I take action.
